Hey guys,Question.. How is the best way to lower texture sizes and keep resolutions?For instance, one could have a master 'layered' PSD (Adobe Photoshop) texture in 2048 size square, then shrink to 1024 square and 'Save As' BMP file and exit out without saving so that it stays at 2048 square in size...OR///////////Save 2048 size PSD as BMP, then shrink the BMP to 1024.The reason I ask is that I notice that the very small stock Microsoft FS9 aircraft BMP textures have tons of precise data or resolution in them and yet they are extremely small. Its as though Microsoft has a way of creating ultra-high resolution 'mini' BMP's and I would love to know how they can do that. …

I have recently fell in love with this MD-82, however it is only in American Airlines liveries, while I prefer Southwest Airlines, as I make frequent trips between Dallas-Love Field and Lubbock International. Also, I have installed a soundpack for crew announcements for Southwest (most of which are hilarious: "The fine for smoking on the plane is $2000 dollars, and serious folks...if you wanted to pay that much you would have flown American Airlines." :(), however it doesn't quite fit to have that on a AA plane. Hi All.I am trying to find someone who would be good enough to paint an aircraft for me please.I have tried in the past, I even spent a few days on one, literally, but it turned out dreadful.and I don't have the specific software that is usually required.I have heard it said that a good painter can complete an aircraft in 20 Min's, that made me feel even worse . . . hey... here are my first two repaints I have done for Flight1 ATR72-500one is an fictional xbox 360 repaint and the 2nd one is a Swiss livery by haymo designs (haymo designs is my invented company I always use for my college projects) by the way, if you really like my repaints I could try to upload them but only by enogh requests as I don't want to waste time... I am also going to do the same for other aircrafts like project opensky's 737... also please let me know if the microsoft logo looks weird on the plane or not, I'm just not surehope you enjoy///

Hi.I'm a FS Repaint user. For who don't know it, this app shows the airplanes in the aircraft folder in 3D. Is very usefull to me for check the textures.I downloaded the new nVidia GeForce drivers, 91.31, but when I installed it, FS Repaint doesn't work anymore. I return to the 81.98 and it works again.I suppose other apps maybe suffer the same problem.Sorry for my bad english.

I have mostly only experimented with repainting and have managed to alter other peoples repaints to different colours and added/subtracted fuselage writing, etc.It has been relatively simple so far and I can easily see what has to be painted on wings, fuselage, etc. But with the FFS Extra 300l - there doesn't seem to be any fuselage or wings to paint - only areas which are obviously meant to be these but with no defining edges - so how do you know what to paint??You would have to view the Extra 300L texture files to fully understand what I am trying to say.Any help much appreciatedBarry
