Hi,it doesn't seem to matter lately what day's weather I download I run into a Thunderstorm somewhere. Just last night I was killed by a storm.... Over EGYPT??? I counted around 15 to 20 seperate storms on the 1200 mile route from Italy's Aviano Airbase. I had been downloading weather from various times of the summer over the last couple of weeks or so, right from May through to September, and every time I flew I hit a storm somewhere. Italy always seems to be covered in storms. Surely something isn't rightedit, I've just retrieved the weather briefing for the same download for the weather in that area(Alexandria, Egypt) where I was crashed by the storm. As you can see…

Just flew a VATSIM approach into CYVR in terrible conditions.The effect ASVE had on the experience is indescribable! I'm totally blown away. Punching through foggy rainy Vancouver soup well after I was on the GS, just making out the r/w lights in distance... incredible.Congrats on a fantastic acheivement, and thanks. Worth every penny.

Hi,As the topic suggests...what does that mean...that the weather is not really actual but generated by ASV? Could your previous version have caused scenery stuttering. Afetr I updraded to your last version I got scenery stutter afterwards. I am trying to investigate different possibilities. Before I installed the upgrade, I did not have stuutering. I use FE for clouds texture. I use the all manual setting in your program but right before the problems after installing the last version I changed from manual setting and experiment with the others. Could changing settings have changed something with textures or the stuttering. I am not blaming your software.

Dear sirs,I purchased and installed ASV Full version today and I must say I'm really happy with all the info generated and displayed into MSFS2004. There is a problem though.The problem is that below a certain altitude there is a weird flickering/refreshing of the weather and my cockpit. What I mean is that under say 20,000ft or so, I see the clouds disappear and redraw (load) again and again, in 1-2 seconds intervals. At the same time, my cockpit disappears and reappears instantly (like refreshing in Windows Explorer with F5 key). First, I just bought Active Sky 5. Is this the same as "Enhanced"?Second, I set my "suppression" to 4000 ft and 100 nm.Right now I'm flying props around the mountains alot, so the airports are mostly above 4000 ft...What are the implications of this? (I'm still trying to understand what I'm doing lol) I don't notice much of a performance drop when textures are loading so I'm just wondering what the optimal settings are..(or should I just not fix it since it "aint" broken lol)?Any other tips/hints are appreciated.. Hi gang,What does local range supression do? on or off there is no difference to me. I still get clouds being drawn within about 25 nm of my aircraft in flight... I thought it would have the clouds drawn further away and hence remove any of the fps hit. I'm using reg versin of FSUIPC (latest version from Pete's site).

Hi,I have ASV enhanced and I had not experienced this "updraft" at all until Friday, during a real-weather flight using ASV5 forecasts when landing at Darwin airport in Australia. I noticed that it was actually a "windy" day but during the final approach, winds were not that noticeable at all.Just before touchdown, suddenly the plane lifted. I KNOW for sure it was NOT my lowering of the flaps to their final 30 position (using PMDG 744) as I had already lowered them before and adjusted my descent rate. Hi,I finally registered FSUIPC 3.50 today, and as soon as I did that I got a problem with ASVe (build 367).In particular, ASVe no longer updates the weather in FS9 when I refresh the weather. I get a quick "refreshing" message, then "Writing station" <- this appears just for a split second, then "Generating Active Radar Data" and then "Online Mode Weather update completed". However the sky is still clear. I have also noted that "FS Disconnected" appears and I don't see the closest station.I have tried setting weather options OFF, or Use normal defaults in FSUIPC and I still get the same results. This has been an on going iratating problem since I installed the enhanced ASV update.It keep actings retared by disconnecting and connecting when approaching AP. Or sometimes the weather won't load at all. I've reinstalled several times and it will work for a while, then start acting retarded again. I'm running ASV over a network.Bill M

I have Active Sky wxRE 1.92.4 along with FS2002 ProWhy does the winds Aloft Server time out? It's been happening pretty often. Do ya independently run the Aloft server, NOAA or the source?

I've recently bought ASVe, and am still tweaking the set up.I decided last night to have a look at active radar. Opened the "flights" drop-down menu - nothing there! Pressed CTRL+F12 - nothing!.I've checked in the modules folder in my main FS9 directory and the .dll and activeradar folder are both there.Any ideas?Steve Hutchison

Hi,anybody else having weather wierdness around Key West?Seems every flight heading in from the North, about 20 or so miles out the vis goes really down. Basically thick haze although atis reports max vis.Then as I turn base onto rnway 9, the vis instantly clears. Most times it stays clear,sometimes it drops out but turning south again, the haze always jumps right back in.Ive occasionally noticed this kind of behavior but it seems to be everytime around the Keys.Latest ver, using FE DXT3 textures.

Guys,I have to say that I am an extremely happy AS2004.5 user. I am thinking about moving up to ASVE but I am not sure what the benefits will be. There doesn't seem to be any reviews or direct comparisons between the versions around, so I'm a little unsure. It seems like ASV is more complicated to install given the differing cloud sizes and converting to dxt's etc. I like the fact that with AS2004.5, I could simply replace the default clouds with the hifpsv2 set and away I went with great frame rates to boot. Does ASVE have the same or better (performance wise) cloud set? Performance is really important to me, so I would rather stick with AS2004.5 if ASV is going to reduc…
