The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I think Banff is the best North American mountain scenery that ORBX has put out.

I nearly bought the Captain Sim 737-200 today but thought I'd save my money for a while and fly a freeware BAC 1-11 instead. I've always loved David Maltby's wonderful freeware classic British airliners at http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/ HIs BAC 1-11 looks good and has a great 2D and VC panel. Fine sounds as well. So I found some more dodgy weather (Dinard) and took her up to FL210 for the channel crossing. REX Essential + REX weather engine. PIx are not edited just resized. Hope you enjoy! Adam

Some shots from my last flight. KLM 643 from Amsterdam to New York JFK. Got the Canarsie Visual for 13L at the end, almost felt like the old days at Kai Tak... Full report can be found here: To the Empire State: KLM 643 – AMS to JFK

I rather like Alejandro Rojas Lucena's freeware Citation X. Still not sure whether I think the aircraft is lovely or weird. Those engines just look too big! Anyway hope you enjoy a few different angles of his aircraft just after departure from Bilbao in rather turbulent weather. Thanks to REX Essential for the weather engine and textures. Adam

Here you go Darth, you requested Azul I believe to fly around in South America. :Big Grin: This is really a WIP (Work In Process), as you can see...but wanted to let you know I was thinking about a Brazilian paint or 2....since this is the country that makes this little gem. :) And I know our Brazilian simmers are pretty passionate about flying Don't mind the blue lines...they are the many reference lines I use to try and line stuff up. And of course you can see the right side (the bottom fuse) is still lingering with my last paint (just a few clicks to turn those layers off). Anyway...I had to paint this registration....PR-AYC, because its going to take…

So it's far from a flight sim, but it's got quite a selection of aerial vehicles, and jaw-slackening visuals to back it all up (even on my meager rig). I've taken it upon myself to create a gallery showcasing one of my personal favorite places to fly... virtually, at least! (Take note that while most of these planes are inspired by real-life vehicles, the names and faces have been changed by the game's devs to protect the innocent... and avoid copyright issues...) Note- click the pics to see the full-sized 1024x768 screens. To kick it off, a lovely evening shot of the game's faux Honda Jet, and the moment that inspired this gallery. Now, to the tour! Bearing …

So there I was thinking "where shall I fly from today" and decided to find out where the really dirty weather was so I could perform some stupid manouvers in my Eaglesoft Citation. I could see in the METARS that there was a big thunderstorm around Bolzano in Italy so I started up REX Essential and Tile Proxy and off we went.. In the real-world I would never go anywhere near a thunderstorm in our aircraft. But this is FSX :P REX Essential did very well to replicate the turbulence in and around the clouds you see in the pix. I stayed low at FL250 so I could fly THROUGH the CBs. It was really quite scary! The aircraft was pitching and yawing all over the place and th…

Steamboat Rock Steamboat Rock State Park is a state park in the state of Washington in the United States. It is located near the north end of Banks Lake in the Grand Coulee. It covers 3,522 acres (14.25 km2), has 50,000 feet (15,000 m) of freshwater shoreline, and is open year-round for camping and day use. During the winter, it is possible to do cross-country skiing as well. The park takes its name from Steamboat Rock, a basalt butte found in the lake. Steamboat Rock is a long-established area landmark, first used by nomadic Native American tribes and then by early settlers. The plateau is over 600 acres (2.4 km2) in area and rises 800 feet (240 m) above Banks Lake, wh…
