The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Since I painted an AW 732 ages ago on the old FFX model, I had the "decals" from that project...so this one wasn't hard at all. This will be the continuation of a retro series I felt like doing, starting with the PAA and TWA 736s. I'll upload all of them this weekend for all who have the iFly series for FSX. If you have the FS9 version, let me know and I'll send you an email with steps to convert the FSX textures to FS9 (the conversion going that way is easier than from FS9 to FSX). If you want to see another airline that is not flying anymore, let me know and I'll consider it. If its one I've painted before, I'll be more inclined to paint (or transfer …

While my FSX isn't working (it just don't like my computer), I decided to upload some of my older screenshots that might be worth looking at. I hope I can get myself to the (virtual) skies really soon because I'm starting to miss it :Praying:  F-86 Sabre patrolling the skies over Alaska: Centurion making it's approach in the late morning: Little navy bird trying to outrun some bad looking clouds: And "bonus" - View from PLAT camera at the Hornet just moments before touching down on USS Nimitz:

Strangly and sadly enough it was with a defunct airliner... :'( Let me first show you 3 pictures that the company's public relations service provided, followed by a few shots I took during the flight while overflying Dubrovnick. Here are 3 pics I took while overflying Dubrovnik. Thanks for watching, she should be released with the other liveries within a week or so.

Samsoft Scenery Design's freeware FS9 Macau has the look of a WIP, but there's already so much there... I love to fly in this area, Hong Kong of course just a helicopter ride away, in possibly flightsim's best: AW139 from Icaro. Linger a moment...

All from Beech King Air C90T at 25,000, Date: 5/17/2012. Palm Springs mountains and desert floor. Very strange scenery anomaly near Thermal VOR (TRM). Using UTX and REX. Not sure what caused this but it created a spectacular sight. Passing over Grand Canyon Airport Breathtaking sunset nearing Blue Mesa VOR (HBU), eastbound on J128. Dusk, breaking out over Denver area floor at 12,000. Note the higher aircraft and contrail:

Im not sure what to call this thread, because these are some random shots I had sitting in my XP directory that I never posted. If fact, I forgot I even took a lot of these. Since they cover a broad spectrum of aviation there is no real theme to this thread. Just wanted to post some of them before deleting them. Rob

Just loaded Orbx's Creswell into the FSX and PNW. This is a wonderful addition and a great destination for flights from Stark's Twin Oaks. Nicely done painted names on taxiway, freeway overpasses, the lumberyard, all blended into the surrounding scenery seamlessly. Enjoy.

Hey guys, Got more than a few requests to create her for FS9 as well, so I took a little time to convert the dds files back to BMP and of course flip the images in imagetool. You should see how weird it looks when you forget that step. :Hypnotized: Anyway, here is the my standard release photo (with the boarder text correct this time) :LMAO: She should be in the next upload cycle for all you FS9'ers out there (I'm still one, and still amazed it can look this good for an almost 10 year old program!) Regards, Steve Dra

Now I'm using Word Not Allowed's latest discovery using adaptive Vsync and handed anistropic filtering back to FSX, my sim runs like butter on a hot day in August! Why, oh why, would I entertain Flight or P3D, when I have the kind of perfomance and visuals that I experienced tonight on a flight over PFJ, just 20 miles East of Orbx's latest scenery Stewart airport. This pic is completely unedited and I think it tells my story. The weather is REX, with real weather engine FSrealWX and I cannot believe this free app produces such fantastic weather. I mean, how real can FSX get?
