The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Thanks to Ed for showing off this awesome IL-76. Decided to take up some cargo contracting from the largest supplier of nuoc mam (fish sauce) in Ha Noi (VVNB) and fly it down to Saigon (VVTS). Enjoy as this beast climbs into the hazy and humid skies over Viet Nam.

  4. Not always a huge Airbus fan but the VN livery is just stunning on it. The great thing about SE Asian flights is the beauty of the scenery and the flights are quick! Do not have the time to dink around on FS like I had to (which is fine), but when I DO get the chance I love the choice of scenery available! On a side note, I really would like to know HOW many of you get your shots so darn crisp? I use Screenhunter and then infranview to resize as need to comply with the forum. Are there any better options? Thanks! This sexy A333 was headed to Hanoi as VN678. Notice the reg on the back! Not your typical reg for Viet Nam. A brand new A321 for VN lines up for…

I'm ashamed to say, I've never noticed this screenshot subforum. It's so far down the list, I rarely scroll past the support subforums. Let me quickly correct that by posting my personal favorites ranging from early 2010 to somewhere late 2011. 1. Taxi to the stand at Brussels International Airport. I love this scenery. The airport is quite nice in real life as well. 2. I think the crew went for a simultaneous bathroom break here. 3. REX at it's finest. 4. One of the nicest sunsets I've experienced in FSX 5. Though this one comes in close behind it. 6. For sunrises, this one does it for me. I even forgot to follow the SID because I was st…

Decided to see what happens when you set AS 2012 to use a maximum of 20 cloud layers.. The results in Prepar3D.. Mixed bag really. Sometimes it looked spectacular unlike anything I've ever seen before. While other times it was just plain ugly with so many cloud variants clustered together. Fun times.

But this is flightsim, I have a few painting skills, and I really like TWA's twin globe livery (and even flew on a TWA 707 twin globe...man am I old or what?). So, with that said...here are the results of those factors listed above: Hehe...Wonder if Hank, our resident TWA fanatic will want to fly around in this puppy? :LMAO: Regards, Steve Dra (oh and Jay, I didn't start painting this until after our conversation about the plane this evening...speed is thanks in big part to layers, and the fact I've painted TWA before, hehe. It took about an hour to paint..and most of that time was not the painting, it was moving the master to the 3 fuse and 1 tail te…

  25. Hi all, I just finished a flight in the PMDG 737-800WL NGX from Belfast to Trondheim. I just recently purchased the Aerosoft Trondheim-Vaernes X scenery for FSX so it was a nice test flight. The weather was not ideal as there was strong winds. The runway is very short so it is good practice for A320 and 737 STOL skills. I should warn you that the Aerosoft Trondheim-Vaernes X is a FPS hog so those with under-powered systems beware! Overall the package is very detailed and I do recommend it. I will leave you with 8 images of my approach and landing. Enjoy! :) Aaron G.
