The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Steam finally got their act together so I FINALLY got the Alaska DLC for Flight. Heard some negative graphics feedback, but I dunno, looks good to me. Please excuse the occasional HUD thingy. I'm still learning.

Just in case some of you think that you get nuthin for nuthin, well Aerosoft may prove you wrong. Their free gift to loyal customers is a fantastic little aircraft and my initial impressions are that it's as good as some payware addons. The quality and flight dynamics are very much akin to Ant's Drifter and the textures I think are superior than many other 'hi-end' aircraft. Check it out and see for yourself...

Here are some screenshots of a flight I made in MS Flight using a plan made in Plan-G. (This post is made because of a few discussions about the not too good MS Flight map in the Flight forum: this is one way of avoiding the ingame map. ) The plan in Plan-G. Skimming the trees. Great sense of speed!!! Nice meandering river. Waypoint 2, the turn right towards Chandalar Lake! (See the plan in Plan-G!) I think that's the lake in the distance. It sure is! (See the plan in Plan-G!) Not the most interesting destination, but the flight was great!

I just finished a flight from Nikolai Creek to Port Alsworth, following the Lake Clark Pass, as suggested by RoboRay. Time was somewhere around 6.30 AM and the season was spring: it's the best season for Alaska because then you get to see every season in one day! While I was flying I thought that this pass and this flight alone was worth the $ 15,- spend on Alaska. As usual with flightsims screenshots don't do the game any justice... Seeing it in motion was so much better then seeing the screenshots afterwards. But I'll post them anyway. I used Plan-G to plan the flight and GMap to make sure I was following the right valleys. Specially in the beginning I certainly wo…

I was rummaging through some old files the other day and found these and dusted them off. Hope you enjoy: They perhaps aren't sized the best, but this is what I was doing a few years ago. IMHO, the MSA freeware Beech D-18 is perhaps the best D-18 ever produced. I logged an actual several hundred hours in it.

Rise of Flight recently updated to v1.026 which among other things, added weapons mods, which can be purchased and added to your planes. I tried to shoot down an observation balloon with rockets, but was not too sucessfull. I missed the balloon and ended up ramming it. Rob

A few pictures from a short flight in Flight's Alaska. I just LOVE the shadow system in Flight! Also really like the snow on the runway and the ice on the fourth picture. But those shadows... they are really awesome and make it so much more real.

This is a repost from the Flight Forum, showing the visuals in Merrill Pass for MS Flight's Alaska DLC... Mountain passes often serve as flight routes in Alaska, allowing you to stay low rather than climb up high above the mountains, into the clouds, and the icing, and the other muck. If you want to stay low, to see where you're going, and your route takes you across a mountain range, look for a pass. I decided to fly west from Anchorage to Sparrevohn, via Merrill Pass, to find out out what that's like. Setting is Spring when the snow is beginning to melt, and in the morning, so I've got the sun at my back. Weather is Low & Threatening. This is the rout…
