The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I was asked to take some screenshots of this raceway near the wine country in Sonoma county. When I lived in the Napa Valley, it was known as Sears Point raceway. When I worked at a hotel there, we'd often get racers staying with us. I got a chance to meet the Andretti family--they were a great bunch of people, especially Michael. Anyway, thought I'd share these screenshots for Robains. John

  2. It has been suggested that we consider changing our image hosting and posting policies. It has been suggested that AVSIM no longer host images, but instead ask users here to host their own images. With the increase in free storage available, such as Google, Microsoft, and the many other Cloud based storage providers, this suggestion has some merit. What would it impact in terms of our policies? If we were to do that, we would reduce the restriction on the number of images shown here. We would probably double it from 10 to 20. We would also most likely increase, somewhat, the physical size of the image allowed to be seen here in the forums. Just to make this clear.…

A real-world scheduled route from Novosibirsk to Frankfurt-Hahn, SU 5500 (Aeroflot Cargo, MD11F). Scheduled departure was March 14th at 2330 UTC. A look out onto the tarmac while getting set up. Lined up on 16. Eventually cruised at FL360. Unfortunately there was an unusual game crash midflight, shortly after the last shot was taken. I'll finish the flight later and post some arrival shots.

  10. Shalom and greetings all my pals, Caribbean island crossings can be PURE FUN as seen on this example of flight from TNCM to TTPP Crossing Guadeloupe where you can see the town of Sainte Rose Crossing Pointe-a-Pitre which is major city of Guadeloupe Passing town of Le Gosier of Guadeloupe Passing town of Basse-Pointe of Martinique where the town's people living there are known to be the friendliest on Earth according to tour guides Passing northern surburb of Fort-de-France the capital of Martinique and if you look at white buildings on right side of nose of the plane, that is CHU La Meynard hospital. Passing…

  11. I was surprised by the beautiful dawn colors in this old recording of an Air China B747-400 approaching Geneva (LSGG) runway 23. (I fly only during the day because of DX10 incompatibility issues.) For comparison, I have included the same view at day and at dusk. The colors may appear slightly too green-yellow (as they do on my 2008 Apple iMac) depending on your monitor, but look excellent on my FSX monitor (ViewSonic VA2702w) and decent on my iPad Mini. No color enhancement outside of FSX was used. Add-ons: Default FSX weather theme: Building Storms EZCA Fraps FSDT LSGG McPhat Studios: B747 WA3 Mogwaisoft Shade: Endless Summer PMDG B747-400 REX Essentials …

This one isn't the Cessna variety Got about 15X the horsepower under the hood here to get you up above the airliners Like the Dora, this Classics Hangar TA-152H is a WIP under beta test. The VC very well done and authentic...mostly made of wood because of German metal shortage toward the war's end....note, as it is WIP, it isn't complete yet. Visit Classics Hangar website forum 'work in progress' for progress updates Cheers TJ

Took some shots of the Aerosim 787.....took off from KPAE and the shots were taken around Moses Lake Just testing this bird out. Im liking it so far. Not the most detailed add on plane. It isnt crazy on systems. Id call it mid range in complexity. Flies nice though.

This was from a cargo flight tonight. Actually turned out to be pretty interesting. Immediately after take off the right main gear would not raise. All the others did. I lowered all the gear back down, then I had to fly off over the ocean, dump fuel, then return to Portland Intl and land. Fortunately no crash. This is the CLS 747-300, so not overly complex.
