The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I have to say... I couldn't stop flying for an hour! I downloaded about 10 zips from California, just to see how it is, but I have to say I like it...! I will download a lot more zips tomorrow! I own Horizon's England but never quite like the scenery and the quality. I have the idea this FREE scenery is a lot better... At least the area's are more interesting! Ah, it's great to see NO roads cutting through houses... I might stay in the US for a while now. ^_^

This was actually a test flight, i was tweaking my settings to get smooth fps around Helsinki in NGX and GA aircraft, got my fps smooth at 30 and decided to turn on opusfsx for a little sightseeing flight... Amazing. Finnish winter weather at it's finest, about -5c, sun is shining and couple of clouds in the distance. Very typical for February. The FS9 photosceneries work wonderfully with FSX, they cover most of the helsinki area. Great addition and look wonderful especially when approaching EFHK with a jetliner. Only bad part is that because of the old tech they disable the frozen waters in the area that FinlandX adds but still the photoscene…

I was very pleased to see this scenery (PAOLO RICARDO FSX - MEGA ROUTE RIO SAO PAULO AND NATAL) announced on simmarket. Very nice and minimal impact on frames.

One of the fun things about photoreal scenery (in my case MegaSceneryEath) is finding those out of the way, one very specific place only oddities of real life and how they appear from above. If you have Google Earth you can find out what these patterns really are. Hint: N35 58 37 W 77 47 52 will get you pretty close: The answer tomorrow.

Just got done downloading MSE Florida 2.0. I now have GA and FL, and I am a happy man. I love being able to fly around where I live and see and know where I am. Please enjoy as much as I did making them. Overhead shot of KJAX. MSE blends airports SO GOOD! Powering out off RWY 26. KJAX off the wing. Passing the powerplant in the distance, with HWY A1A right there. Added a little weather over NAS Jacksoneville area for no real reason than to see frames not drop by even 1. You can't beat the quality of frames running MSE 2.0. Complex airports, addons, and heavy weather and it runs like default clear skies.

  21. I think I have the reality department finally covered for my part of the world in all respects. Using Latinvfr San Diego, Brian N. Winton's fabulous free San Diego buildings, Sim Savvy 50cm photoscenery, and of course my past plane-Milviz's fabulous B55 Baron. Driving to the airport-the Charles Lindbergh mural Taxiing for takeoff Looking at the American Flag... That's my town! Balboa park Mt. Woodson-a 3000 ft. mountain known for its rocks (reminds me of Babar story where people turned into rock!) The most famous trail in San Diego-Cedar creek falls-you can see them just below the tail before they drain into the San Diego…
