Infineon Raceway - For Robains

Edit: Just tried Anchorage but I'm afraid the Tileproxy coverage is much too grainy. One of the other services might work, but I will have to try that later.

Doesn't have to be Anchorage ... if you have other areas that aren't mainstream that would be great to see, if not no worries.

I used to have an Exige - is that what you have or is it an Elise of some sort?

Thank you for the kind words ... I'm on my 3rd engine since this video (which is just over a year old), it's been an adventure for sure. My Lotus started life as an Exige S - supercharged street car. I transformed it into a dedicated race car ... I moved to normally aspirated after this video to try to improve reliability but now I'm building a Turbo motor with about 50-80 HP more than the Supercharged motor - should be around 4.3 lbs/hp (without driver). Had to move to a sequential transmission as the stock ones can't handle much power.

That is very cool. Mine was the earlier Series 1 Exige, don't think they ever sold it in the US - only ever a road car though. Are you aware of the infamous Ronin (as he goes by on the internet)?

Edit: apologies for the thread hijack Cactus - liking the TP work as always though!

Of course I am ... he's a character but has done well for himself starting life as an NY cabby.  He has some good information, it's just difficult to extract at times as one has to read thru all the Jibber Jabber to get to some meat ;)

I got a chance to meet the Andretti family--they were a great bunch of people, especially Michael.

I think they own a winery in the sonoma area ... I have a racing buddy that got a ride with Mario in the 2 seat Indy (IZOD) car a couple of years ago.  I've never met them myself, but always hear good things about them ... approachable.

If you come up with some new TileProxy shots, would love to see them ... any of them ... keep'em flowing!

Cheers, Rob.

This area looks very cool from the air! I like the sharpness and vibrancy of the MSE set.
