The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

The Lewis and Clark Expedition is a significant piece of U.S. history. The voyage covered nearly 8,000 miles of distance on the ground and lasted over 2 years. If one cares to read the original journals, it's a bit difficult to read (spelling was atypical of conventional English, with the linguistic not native to Mother England...🙂...). [Note: There are no shortage of annotated and edited versions for easier reading, of which I've read one.] Nonetheless, the original content, written, in a (pragmatic) workman type language and rich with expressions, provides the very first details and fascinating features about a massive (and ambitious) endeavor seeking the westward passa…

The 747 Queen of the Skies (-400 or -8) remains (and will always remain) an evergreen favorite among us jetliner enthusiasts. My first Jumbo flight was in a LH 747-400, at O'Hare. Even today, I distinctly recall that occasion, pressing against the glass windows of the waiting lobby at the boarding Gate, and marveling at the bulbous (seemed enormous at close proximity) nose of the 747, just outside, ready to lift-off (by miraculous means, I thought) into the sky... The 747-8 is also special to me...because, when LH (unexpectedly, or rather due to lack of awareness on my part) replaced its (I believe) A340s with the B747-8 (Intercontinental), I'd failed to take notice.…

One of the 3 large multi-engines(4+) flyboats ever made is the French Latécoère 631 with its 6 engines and luxuous interiour and was operational from 1942 till 1955. It was beaten in size when the Sruce Goose(Hercules-H4) performed his only flight on Nov.2 1947. Hereby an overview of this giant, in Part 2, is the earlier German giant -> Dornier DO-X.

The Town of Sion and its Valley, in the heart of Swiss Alps, as far back as I can remember, have been always prime destinations in our SIM, as sites of spectacular beauty. Please find 10 images of the mountain scenery I captured today, while touring this majestic and beautiful region of the Alps, in the vicinity of Sion (LSGS) and Geneva (LSGG). Thanks for viewing.

First, about the Title a bit...I noticed that MSFS/Xbox has (thoughtfully) included a "Xbox Aviators Club" livery for its 787-10 (see Logo in the images below)...maybe to elevate the impression of MSFS flyers in Xbox above that perception of being "arcade" flyers...🙂...Oh well, after being a passionate (PC) simmer for nearly 2 decades, and been unexpectedly exposed to the MSFS World recently, I find this all a most novel and refreshing change...with no regret nor ill-will towards my beloved past SIM...🙂... Whenever I've visited Denver on a few occasions, the Denver Rockies have been always one of my favorite destinations. Seems like, I've spent more time at and aroun…

You can click on the map below to see the flight trace, and geolocalized screenshots : A few minutes after takeoff, over the Copper River Some interesting landscape in the Chugach Mountains, in the Wortmanns valley The weather deteriorated considerably as I entered the Lowe River Valley From this point I had to fly under 800 ft to see the ground …

I've never used the B787 in MSFS so when the Horizon Simulations update I thought I'd take a look. (Although I have no idea what that entailed!) ANZ was Launch Customer for the -900 so appropriate livery. Departed NZAA with some (Real) dubious weather approaching. Plenty of wing flex modelled, shown in the sim ...and plenty going on with that wing, too I did find some issues: AP would not disengage (But maybe finger trouble?) and the cabin service truck got lost

With the new ORBX mesh for South America, which I like a lot. But see for yourself 🙂 Above the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, here the amazing Cono Galcier Ok, Torres del Paine is a bit of a let down North of the Parque Nacional Bernardo O’Higgins. This looks just incredible South of the Parque Nacional Laguna San Rafael Further north we find less snow We turn NW towards Santiago At FL180 and descending into the Santiago valley. Descending? Now? You can’t be serious!!…

As announced in my previous posting(Part 1 of Flyboats as Local Legends) hereby the first ever gigantic flyboat from German aircraft manufacterer Dornier as type DO-X. Only three where build and in service from 1932 till 1937. Most spectacular are the twelve V-12 engines paired per two centralised above the gigantic wing and delivered together 7200 HP for a max speed of 150mph and could transport 70 passengers over a distance of 1100NM. Hereby an overview of this complex machine and also a luxuous interiour for the happy few in that periode before WWII.

Thanks to all the simmers community (for your warm welcome on my freeware Bowerman scenery with +1000 unique downloads) ! The Halloween pumpkin that seats on Lana's Cafe entrance is an object from the default MSFS library. Do you remember the Halloween landing challenge that was available only a limited time (but revive with a 3rd party freeware challenge) ?
