The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  2. I just did few flights with the new iniBuilds scenery. Only GA departing from FBO's. Works great on my config but I'm not demanding (lock at 30 fps, high settings with this setup: https://20-100-video.blogspot.com/p/january-update-is-8-go-of-more-ram-for.html). I'm impressed by the details. Interiors are awesome, even if it's not my priority at all, but can understand some simers enjoy droning-it. Atlantic FBO. Finally got it as in P3D/FSx, the building was missing. Palm Springs Air Museum. I would love to see more warbirds and at least the DC3 Sitting at the ramp of Atlantic with my fav 172 So cute 😉 …

  4. Quite close from being released as freeware. If you want to appreciate the work done, please have a look of KHQM in MSFS today without this future freeware 😉 Bowerman after the rain. FedEX building: The raw of lonely hangars: The local authorities promotes Bowerman airfield as the only-capable-jet airport of the area, so I put a Citation in an opened hangar. Fake Chevron sign.: Lana’s Cafe recreation. Not on the field since 2014. But was in the Orbx scenery: Pilot’s lounge... and bikes for free: The bay of Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge behind the airfield, finally clear of water: Improvement of the v…

  6. After accidentally buying the GotFriends DoubleEnder (dont ask me why/how 😅) I decided to take it to test its performance and STOL capability. Couldn't have guessed that such a tiny aircraft would be such a great addon ! So much details, light yet detailed system, overall perfect immersion. The only letdown are the engine sounds which are quite weak and the non existent "rain hitting canopy" sounds. The plan is to start from Stewart CZST and go North up to Chunilna AK98. Roughly 720 nm, which the DoubleEnder could happily cross in 2-3 stages cruising at FL120. But that wouldn't be fun right ? So I carefully planned < 400nm segments, cruising from 2000 t…

  7. [Before daydreaming about the various places I could visit in the MSFS World, including the (U.S.) mainland destinations cited by Steve D, in my other post....] As I sat on the O'Hare Runway, in the cockpit of my Beech Bonanza G36, having barely got my feet wet in MSFS (need all the auto-assist features for now...🙂...), I asked myself where I should travel to...somewhere (near) I've travelled before frequently (in RW). KIND/Indianapolis, came to my mind, but it was too far for my intent....🙂... Then I thought of this University Town, South Bend, which has the airport, KSBN/South Bend International (not a small airport, by any means, has ILS Runways, and has the prestig…

  8. Today, unexpectedly and rather excitingly, I got exposed to MSFS 2020, in the Xbox format. My teen who has been playing on PS4 in the past, decided to go for Xbox (with my reluctant permission...🙂 ...), and overnight (apparently without any issue) has installed the gigantic download of the MSFS Premium Edition (knowing my penchant for such stuff). As I caught him tossing and flipping one of the MSFS planes, in the virtual sky, rather uncontrollably...🙂...with limited help from the Xbox Gamepad, I decided to get him a basic (add-on) Flight Controller and taught him (and myself too) how to gently lift off the Runway and climb steadily to Cruise altitude, with an MSFS plane,…

This is my PC6 landed @ TAP New Guinea, was quite a challanging uphill landing, take off was also a fun job with a cliff dropoff at the end and a not at all smooth runway. So much shrubbery... I've been playing with the Blackbird/MilViz DHC2 of late, fixing gauges and model xml, enhancing, tuning flight model etc. It's a pretty neat little aircraft overall. Replacing effects with improved options, better landing lights in this instance. And improved ground & water effects. And off into the sun, cheers

We all know Lukla Airport in the Everest region of Nepal. When you fly into Karubaga Airport (WAVG) in West Papua for the first time, you are reminded a little of Lukla, as it too has a runway on a steep mountainside. Of course, I could have taken the Kodiak, Twotter or Pilatus Porter, but I wanted to make it a little more challenging, so I was thinking of the single-engine Fokker F.VIIa or the Junkers F13 instead. Especially the Junkers was a popular plane in this part of the world in the 1920s. The Fokker was more flown in the Dutch East Indies. This time I chose the Fokker, the Junkers will be used on another flight. I fly with live weather; should be fun. …
