The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Hey all, I am still enamored of the X-plane helicopter experience, and as such I decided to make another playground for myself (last post was Chicago), so I converted the Aerosoft LA scenery. The scenery comes over very nicely BUT all the beautuful buildings are completly "soft" meaning you can't land on them. I did some digging and found out how to make them "hard" and landable in XPX, so I went back in and changed some of the downtown buildings. LA has TOO MANY helipads, so I just picked a select group in downtown LA, Longbeach, and a few other places to make land-able(too many and they may affect performance). Today I got to test my work with a little flight …

Nothing extra special about these 100% stock aircraft, other than the shear eyecandy of these shots. Clicking on them reveals their true beauty in full size. This dang Waco is just sooo photogenic, I can't stop making screenshots of her. 100% FSX DX10 preview ala Steve's DX10 fixer, completely unretouched other than a resize. Thanks for viewing.

Decided to pick up my first MSE Ultra-Res city. I was leary as I own the Maryland/VA photoscenery and thought it was good and didn't see what more could be done over their whole state offering. I was amazed as the increased clarity and handplaced autogen. They covered a large area also, even upscaled my house down south from DC. I haven't checked out Baltimore, but here are a few shots from the Southern Potomac on up to KDCA. Regular MSE MD Below

First one is south of March ARB [KRIV], looking towards Newport Beach, with Santa Catalina Island in the far distance. Most of my settings are one notch below max, Second shot is a low approach over Riverside, CA at night. Third shot is in Norway, just southeast of ENBM. Fourth shot is flying low, in the A2A Piper Cub, over a small town in southwestern Alaska. I left the info text on in the above, to record my FPS. The last image was taken in my home area, in Northern New Hampshire, southeast of Franconia Notch.
