The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Whilst everyone is fussing over the new FTX Vector library, I rebuilt some OSM scenery for Switzerland using a few hacks which I've been working on, the results are really quite nice, especially at sunset/sunrise All scenery used is completely free, and includes: - HD Mesh v2 from alpilotx - Photo scenery from simheaven.com (but can be generated yourself using g2xpl (donationware) - OSM objects using OSM2XP with a few custom hacks, i.e. Street lights only applied to residential roads. Where tagged correctly, the effect is great, especially in areas like France/UK Forests and buildings with holes (i.e. Multipolygons) are rendered as well, th…

Hi all, Just some shots I took over the last few weeks. Add-ons used: - PMDG NGX - D-ABKC repaint (on Avsim) - DX10Fixer (Legacy slider full left) - REX 4 Texture Direct (partly) - ActiveSky NEXT - FTX Global - and more.. The new REX combined with ASN and the DX10 fixer offers incredible immersion IMHO. All are highly recommended. ASN with REX and DX10 really shine here, on approach to runway 19L at Aerosoft's new Oslo Gardermoen: Hope you enjoyed this series. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Rgds, Erik

Here are some comparison shots of a real and a virtual flight I did recently. X-Plane doesn't do a bad job of depicting reality :-) Amazingly the boat out of coicidence managed to be in there in both real and virtual shots :-) The landing shots are my favourite :-)

Hey Guys, I have had a lighter schedule for the holidays, so I decided to take a shot at making more helicopter playgrounds for XPX, by converting Aerosoft city sceneries into the x-plane format. I have already done this with Chicago and Los Angeles with good results. Whenever I would do it to US cities San Fran or Las Vegas, I would get floating buildings that make the scenery completely unusable. With Las Vegas, the entire city floats above the ground. Overlay editor does not allow you to change the elevation of buildings, but WED does, and in reading some forums I learned how to get projects converted projects into WED, and thus my problem was solved(in theo…

Between helping the kids open their presents, cooking, visiting and getting ready for a Christmas evening feast one can ALWAYS find the time for a quick flight. Another great flight using REX4 themes, Active Sky Next and the PMDG NGX proudly showing off my employers colors. Today's real life flights were actually all flown by our -700 aircraft and not a -600. Enjoy the screenies.
