The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I've just finished a wonderful flight in the NGX from KLAX across to KHPX. The sky was so awesome I just had to take a pic before landing and share it with you. Hope you like...

As usual, a series of shots of one of my SAS flights..this time to Tivat in Montenegro. This flight had one of the most exciting and beautiful approaches in my FS life  . Weather enginge used in this flight is the new Active Sky Next and finally I can experience a flight with no cloud pops..also atis with runway, wind etc works 100% correct with Radar Contact

Obviously a crude 'shop job on my part....who would have thought back then it could come to this. Enjoy and thanks for viewing.

  5. Finally got ASN, FTX Global and REX 4 and started testing. Took a flight into Eugene, Or as it was socked in with fog and I must say, it was extremely cool to initiate a go around due to zero visibility. Normally, I would be able to start making out the approach lights and manage to land. Today using ASN, not a chance. The other thing that had me staring out in amazement was the cloud deck obscuring the aircraft as I was flying through it. I grabbed a few screen shots to show what it looked like. It's going to be a long night of flying tonight!! Merry Christmas everyone! Mike On the go around!

  7. If I had known what to expect, I'd have recorded a video instead: Super smooth transition in visibility; cityscape, ships, approach lights slowly emerging from the fog - here's a shot with a few ships still lingering in the fog:

GEC8230 KORD-KLAX Lufthansa Cargo flies flight 8230 starting in EDDF, then on to Chicago, and finally Los Angeles, where she turns around as 8231 to EDDF. Here is the ORD-LAX flight Approaching LAX Rollout on 25L And a bonus, flying at FL380 over the Grand Canyon Loading up for the long flight home to EDDF as GEC8231 Scheduled in about 2 hours from now Being a freight dog, I rarely know what it feels like flying during the day, so I get all excited when these day flights are on the schedule. Thanks for viewing and happy holidays everyone

Hello While Flying over New Mexico, I discovered those stange patterns on the ground (next to the DC3 by its left wing). Looks like an alien airbase to me.. The center of those circles is probably the landing/launch pad. I checked the location on google earth's street view and the path to the base is gated without any signs. By the way, did I mention that this place is not far from Rosewell? It tells you something doesn't it? Now that I've posted this, I fear for my safety, you all know what the military is up to...

A few when departing Oban on a cloudy and windy day! I'm loving X-Plane 10 with OSM. Just adding new airports daily now. The sim is smooth and stunning! And tweak free! Come on developers, embrace this, it is just an outstanding sim! In these screenshots I'm using: Skymaxx pro 1.1 Carenado Caravan HD Mesh V2 OSM Europe Oban airport addon X-plane 10.25 P.S Click the image for the full size one, and then click it again for the original ultra size image! Some shots taken with PMDG's great 777 at a flight from Aerosoft's PANC to FSDT's CVYR. All above ORBX’s Southern Alaska and Pacific Northwest Sceneries and some REX textures combined with the latest version of OPUS running in the background (i switch occasionally between ASN and OPUS currently, as i enjoy both engines very much). Furthermore in use: DX10 as provided by Steve's great DX10 fixer, FSDT’s GSX and SweetFX. Everyone, please enjoy! Cheers, Christoph Checking winds and weather and crosschecking the data with the numbers from the OFP as calculated by PFPX in advance prior to the flight. Looking quite okay so far i think. …

Just a few misc. shots from within FSX. FYI, Photoscenery actually looks better in FSX (than P3DV2) due to the LOD Radius (using 9.5) ... changing the LOD Radius in P3DV2 (via PrePar3D.CFG) seems to have no impact but there clearly is a LOD radius limit in P3DV2 (looks to be about 6.5). Rob.

Last night's wandering around Idaho. I hadn't flown the Aerosoft Beaver for quite a while and it never ceases to amaze me what a fine job they did of it. There's a call for a Beaver 'Extended' on the Aerosoft forum but apart from crisping up the VC graphics a bit and of course obligatory systems additions, there's very little to do with it. I digress: Rob (Great Ozzie) in the Alaska Forestry, Josh (Freebird) in the RV7 and Ron (Ron) in the Navy If you look carefully, you can just see Rob parked up on the left of the runway. He was waiting to see me make a pig's ear of my landing. Sorry to disappoint Rob.
