The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This is default P3Dv2 with FTX Global only. Quite impressive if you ask me!

I found one shot that of my short flight from Memphis to Newark that incorporates the beginning of the night and also one of my favorite views of aircraft of all time. It also shows off the beautiful job PMDG has done with the lighting of the aircraft.. which makes it that much better.

Switzerland...It's Not All Chocolate, Cartier, Rolex and Philippe! I'm sure I missed quite a few luxury brands...but this pictorial is about the mountains, valleys and all the lakes. And yes I beat HL James to a pictorial since I can only afford a few add-on's which includes the new MegaScenery Earth 2 Switzerland. Should tell you, no editing involved except in sizing and sharpening. I hope you enjoyed this pictorial, as always commentary is greatly appreciated...Darryl

Some interesting live real-world weather uploads, using REX2 for textures but Real World weather in FSX settings. N738AN on the climb out from KATL Atlanta Georgia: Quite an interesting view of a partial break in cover: Still climbing out and the cloud starts to thicken: Above the real thick stuff now: More like the P3D volumetric mist but is FSX live cover over the Carolina's: A more realistic flight on a Atlanta - Washington (Dulles) working.. This is all normal FSX, I am not using any doctoring of the video card. I have lowered the textures on the PMDG NGX to DXT5 rather than the HD texture and this improves the…

Hi, folks. I hope this works (newbie to uploading screen shots). Here are a few shots of the Carenado SR22 over FlyTampa's KBOS. I also have a shot to show how the shadows in P3D V2 have given new life to my Carenado Archer II. And, finally, I have a couple shots of the SR22 departing Albany with FTX Global scenery. I'm loving the shadows. And, yeah, I know I have to update my signature, but I'm running an old i7 920 at 4.0 with a 660 Ti.

  24. Just thought I'd post a few pics. Nothing special in terms of a set but just to show performance in familiar locations. So far, I'm finding P3D2 so much better than FSX in terms of performance. Visually there isn't much in it but I think there will be even more performance to come once we find the right settings and cfg tweaks. These are completely unedited, just resized. Hopefully you can make out CPU/GPU. 1440p, tesselation high, FXAA off, HDR enabled, shadows low, MSAA 8, Ansio 8X, triple buffering enabled, frame rate unlimited, v-sync on. City flying 20-30fps (Aerosoft NYC, San Francisco), complex airports 20-25fps, UTX+FTX Global 45-60fps!

  25. ...in P3Dv2 These aren't meant to be proof of anything, etc., just was checking it out myself and grabbed a few screens.
