The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Someone had a question some time ago, about the effect of really wide screen monitors in FS. I've been playing with a 2560x1080 screen, which at first glance seems impossibly wide and skinny. Surprising how quickly you get used to the extra (50% in my case) real estate on the sides. But any thought of 2D panels is consigned to the bin - my 1900x1200 monitor had them barely useable, but not here. The Carendo products fit the bill quite well: VC with most of the panel width visible, plus 2D popups for doing the instruments. I think they develop on a widescreen system!

I bought v2 on the day of release, but simply have not got on with it, for various reasons. As my 60day money back deadline draws near I thought I would give it one more shot, inserting my photoscenery and Autogen, along with Ant's Tiger Moth.... and today it all just clicked. I've been flying most of the day, with not a hitch, just near perfect smooth flying, as good as, if not better, than anything I've experienced in over 25 years of FS. I still have reservations... the spinning clouds have to go, though I notice it less if I'm careful putting the weather together... I hate the interface, but can't see that changing... AA could be better, though I got it to point w…

I took the background of the once available Delta freeware McPhat NGX livery, and after some work in the photo editing software I have (also freeware), I put the markings of different carriers (PMDG stock liveries) on top. A little confusing, though here are the results I came up with. Unfortunately I can't make these available as these great paints were not made by me (I simply merged them), though if anyone wants detailed instructions on how I did this feel free to request and I can hopefully post them. Hope you enjoy! PS - The WestJet was my first attempt and therefore does not look as good as the others - that's why the blending marks at the bottom of the f…
