The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I was just sipping my morning coffee, as my flight from Coff's Harbour, enroute at 8,000 ASL to YBRM is in progress, and with the visuals I am so enjoying this morning, over Australia, I thought to myself while in San Diego, many years ago, on business, I visited a computer store, and they had the new F-15 Strike Eagle...and while looking over the demonstrator's shoulder at the screen...and thinking of how it would run on my IBM 386....yep...a 386....that had I seen what I am seeing today, I probably would have sold everything I had...to get 'his system' that would run what I now take for granted, each and every time I press the gas pedal on P3D v3.2.3! Yep...we can …

  2. Coff's Harbour, Australia "....John V. , dang it..you got me hooked on your part of the green....dang! Every night at a hotel is killing us...how 'bout we crash at your place for a weekend?!?!?!?? .so...whadayathink? Huh?....our wives can compare notes of how crappy you and I are as husbands,...and we can down some Fosters to drown it all out, round-about, the barbie!." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Commander at 3,500 ft ASL, cruise of 160 knots.

Inbetween university study and work, and the fact we've been spending a lot of course time in Prepar3d; frankly I haven't really had the motivation for FSX for a while. But after having bought a few addons thanks to sales lately, I broke it out today for a cliche east coast run.

Time to load up for a cargo run from Belfast (EGAA) to East Midlands (EGNX) with the Quality Wings B757 Freighter. Oooo...a mighty RB211! Ground power still plugged in while we load. Cones out and high-vis vest on. Health & Safety all the way. Along with the usually packages and parcels we are carrying a container of "movie props" today bound for the mainland. That's Jeff. He was dispatcher of the month for April. it's nice to fly a cargo flight every now and again to keep things interesting. This is the QW B757 repainted into AirweCargo livery with UK2000 scenery for Belfast loaded up. Hope you enjoy the p…

The Goose by Bill Lyons is my floatplane of choice, followed by the Alphasim freeware Catalina. Now joined by the Milton Mallard. The model conveys this very well. Sitting on the apron (or rather squatting) it has an enormous presence. Release screenhots from the Sim-outhouse: Flies very sedately too. Everything is just right about this model! The immersion factor is huge. Interior release screenshots: The cupboard next to the sofa can be opened by the way.

So, after a complete system crash, I finally reinstalled FSX with some new things (And a whole new AI Traffic Schedule. Yikes!), and to do a little test run, I took a flight to Jersey Island from London City Airport. Short and sweet Hope you like them! Getting everything ready Taxiing to 27. BTW, is that CityJet Avrojet smoking? :excl: And we're going! And going down Looking crisp! Whoops! Smoking! Some exotic traffic down here! Ahh it's good to be back Thanks for watching guys!

  15. Personally, I don't ever remember seeing a departure at Dusk, that took my breath away...with 'life-realism' as the quantifier. This was it.... I feel like I am really flying over this terrain...just a few minutes out of YPEC and Orbx AUS SP4.003 P3D v3.2.3 is set up to fully render all graphics aspects, other than Water set to HIGH, with all sub-selections engaged. Flight simulation has never been better... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  16. I bought this region literally more than a year ago, and have just never gotten around to flying in it..... until today. Orbx EU Wales is absolutely stunning. The Mid Wales section in amongst the most scenic - the beautiful valleys. Here I took a flight on a hazy late Spring day, from Welshpool (EGCW), east on track 291 degrees, to the coastal town of Llanbedr (EGFD). I flew the A2A Cherokee with no GPS fitted and flew the 68km flight by visual reference only. I somehow managed to complete the en-route section, right in front of the target airfield (more luck than airmanship) Click on the images, to see them in full size

  17. What about a ride in a prop aircraft at 345 Kts (ground speed) from Asiagio in Northern Italy to Split in Croatia ? Starting at Asiagio, a small airport which has been designed by OrbX Sylvain Delepierre. This is a freeware but of absolutely payware quality. And here is our Mustang, a big Glamorous Girl, much bigger than the red Ferrari on the other side of the fence ! My whole flight from LIDA to LDSP Split in Croatia is here with lot of pics.
