The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  6. This has to be one of the best rendered and scenic airports/area of Orbx that I now own. This purchase was worth every penny, let alone the asking dollar figure. Here are some of the shots I took on the maiden taxi, after purchase. Alex Geoff did an amazing job with this project...and here is the taxi storyboard, up to my obtaining the active, P3D v3.2.3/Orbx Global/Orbx HD Trees/ASN/ Rex Direct 4 Glimmer for waves/Real Shader/Ultimate Terrain (latest version) Just last September, my wife and I rented a cottage for two weeks, and hiked all over Acadia National Park. …

I recently bought the boxed PMDG MD-11X since I was in need of some new heavy metal to learn to operate. Love this plane so far, it's actually my favorite one yet. I'll have to buy FSDT's KMEM soon to take advantage of all the routes. Here are some recent shots, and one NGX flight that slipped in there:

Just picked up up this morning and had an hour or so to play around with it before work. Great plane! lots of fun. a lot more complex than I thought it would be. You really have to monitor those engines! Rob Two bonus shots of the IGEX 737 I still had, but never posted.

  14. Hey Everybody, Well for all those that read my previous post you will know i did say i am starting a new type of screenshots and this will be in the style of a flight report so here it is, my very first flight report. My rig is now running P3D quite comfortably for what it is so i am happy with that, the only problem i have at the moment is lack of addons, i am working on that and am slowly but surely purchasing more and more. For now though i have these addons:- ORBX Base, Vector, Europe. REX Soft clouds, Active Sky Next, Aerosoft Airbus Extended X, GSX and Uk2000 London Gatwick Extreme. All of these addons you will see in the below report. Ezdok is something i …

This afternoon flight was from Montpellier to Air sur Ladour. Weather was FSX real world and produced a rather thick cloud for the entire flight. I used Aivlasoft EFB to plan my route and entered the plan manually into the Flight1 GTN 750. My initial ceiling was 12000' with 2000' decents after each waypoint as I neared my destination. Quite a thicky from FSX real world weather using REX v2: A view of the flight plan in the 750: I am using 2 to keep the information in plain (plane) sight: Leaving the plan track by switching to heading mode to intercept the approach: [/url] Occitania free airport for France have done a…

Hi, shots from a flight Novosibirsk - Almaty, with some impressions from Almaty International Airport. As you may remark, I have choosen a new paint for my plane, as the ex-Rusair stripes were fancy, but the old Aeroflot blue stripe - that is adopted by the new paint - looks still very classic and attractive. Curving north of the Trans-Ili-Ala-Too, a northern Tian-Shan range. As almost always, there are suddenly clouds and dusk (or smog?) around the plane... Have fun. Regards, Harald

Hi, from a flight UAAA Almaty - UTDD Dushanbe with a landing at ZWSH Kashgar. Most impressive views at Tian-Shan and Pamir mountains. Checking the weather at night - not that good. And even worse at day - but however, weather at UTDD is said to be unusual good Above Tian-Shan Inylchek Glacier with Chan-Tengri and Victory Peak (landclass slightly incorrect as all these mountains are said to be covered by heavy snow) Early morning start at Kashgar. I bought this airport five years ago without having an idea why - now I know. The highest Pamir summits - Kongur and Mustagh-Ata Marx and Engels Peaks in southwestern P…

  24. Hey Everyone! Just snapped a few more randoms for you however these will be the last screenshots i will post now....Well random ones anyways, i am starting a new series of screenshots now. Screenies will include a full flight report from start to finish with volumes of screenshots from the full flight. The randoms i have been sharing has basically been allowing me to try different editing techniques and various different addons with P3D V3.2 and now i think i have found a very happy sweet spot on my system. (well i like it) The screenshots probably don't do my sim much justice as i do have to re size the image by quite a lot and probably lose a bit of quality. Anyways…
