Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  4. ...OK...🙂...Sounds like a (clickbait) Title ...but it's all true in my (virtual) fight today. First, bit of explanation is due up front. In the a/c colors and liveries of our aviation world, birds galore (usually "stylized" or sometimes "real-looking"). And birds have been always a subject of interest for me. Around here, in Illinois, after the bleak winter season, the visiting birds of Summer seem refreshingly cheerful and wonderfully colorful, easily spotted around the lakes and ponds, in the trails of forest preserves, and even in the backyards. This post is about Aurigny (airline) with its Puffin bird that's found in the Channel Islands, busy breeding at this time of …

  5. A day in the life of Del Boy and Rodders. And Trigger's in the back minding the load. So we start at KLGA. Having already off-loaded a consignment of Trump/Biden boxing garden gnomes, we are now loading up a batch of Soh-nee Betamax DVD players which Dell got at a bargain price from a dealer in Poughkeepsie. Job done, all loaded, firing up the engines And off we go! Allright back there, Trigger? Quick bit of sightseeing And away we go Little bit later, coming in to LFPO the pretty route Parked up way out on the edge of the field, away from prying officials, while we offload a couple of pallets of finest "Camdenburg" cheese…

  6. Just got the Burning Blue Design EGBT, Turweston, airfield. I always enjoy their products, got them all, pretty much. Thought I'd do a short circuit (probably should have phrased that better, but you know what I mean) in the neighbourhood and thought Rob Carrich's Whirlwind would be a fine thing to see here. DId my usual thing of lots of pix of the airfield but I'll spare you those and just post mostly flying stuff (but I heartily recommend EGBT as a great place to explore up close). First up, here's the route taken - And here we are parked up to start with Ok, ok, if you insist. Here's just one of the control tower/restaurant etc Heading up the grass …

  10. This post is triggered by a couple of (recent) C-46 posts of jankees, and also a post I'd made, here, a while ago about the famous (and historic) "Flying the Hump" operation. In my previous post, to fly to (and above) the (Himalayan) Hump, I'd used the (modern) Cessna CJ4 Bizjet...🙂..., a far cry from the DC-3/C-47/C-46 a/c types that the RW pilots had used for these dangerous missions. [Re-stating some text from my previous post...] This is one of the most fascinating events of aviation history...from a time when the legendary DC-3 ruled (air) transport, civil and military. For nearly 3 decades, a more reliable and capable replacement would elude aviation, so, the…

  12. Don't go to Japan often enough. Some great scenery out there, plus as usual I have loads of addons for the place. A quick circuit around the whole Kyobe, Osaka Bay and Kyoto area, starting out from RJBE and returning to RJBB just the other side of the bay. Both airports built on reclaimed land, and both very nicely modelled here. I got them from SimMarket but they might be available elsewhere as well. The whole are looks fascinating, and strangely beautiful, in the sim, but the density of everything there would drive me crazy in real life. But I had a very pleasant few hours exploring in the sim, which is the whole point for me. Managed to just pick out just twenty s…

There'll be dancing in the streets of Edinburgh in a few days time.🕺 Sorry for the large number of images (please don't quote this post in your replies!), but this work just has to be celebrated. That final image is just the tram information point - a dummy tram (the real tram is behind it). Amazing level of detail as we've come to expect.👌

Hi all, installed Aerofly FS2 years ago during it's early access and I like Aerofly. The core engine is very well done and therefore it needs less pc ressources. Indeed I can measure that the pc only consumes around 60 % electricity compared with the other sims and the cpu and gpu both remain much cooler while flying for hours. It has a very useful navigation system where a flightplan can be created in minutes including sid and stars and without the need to involve any ressources from the web directly. And it has more than 30 quality aircraft. And here I will show almost all aircraft, 1 shot of each aircraft followed by a shot of the main panel of…

  16. While waiting for the PMDG -200, I'm still enjoying the CS version. A bit flaky at times but I can usually get what I want out of it. Here's an absolutely and most definitely non-real time flight from KIAD (Flightbeam's, but not very visible in these shots) to OEAO. From the product description on SImMarket - "Al Ula International Airport formerly known as Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz International Airport is a commercial airport made to serve the Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site, AlUla. The airport Is located North West of Saudi Arabia and is the 5th biggest International airport in Saudi Arabia". Nicely modelled but a bit in the middle of nowhere, bu…

Hi all, couldn't do much in the sims during last weeks and I'm afraid this will not change for next weeks. In MSFS with the latest updates there are new controls available for the helicopters and I just practice how to asign it, seems to be useful. 5 shots here from Billy Bishop Toronto and Hawaii. But with that latest update my fps where down to below 10. So I removed everything from the community folder, was fine again. And now I have a lot of work to bring all the addons back, so far I couldn't find out which one caused the issue. As if I have nothing else to do. Thank you very much…

This is what Wikipedia has to say about this plane: The Bugatti Model 100 was a purpose-built air racer designed to compete in the 1939 Deutsch de la Meurthe Cup Race. Ettore Bugatti started work in 1938 to design the racer using engines sold in his automotive line for co-marketing. The Model 100 had an unusual inboard mounted twin engine arrangement driving forward-mounted contra-rotating propellers through driveshafts. The aircraft also featured a 120-degree v-tail arrangement and retractable landing gear. The construction was mostly of wood, with sandwiched layers of balsa and hardwoods, including tulipwood stringers covered with doped fabric. Unfortunately, the …

  25. To coincide with the July 4th celebrations in U.S., MSFS released the latest USA City Update, on July 2nd. I noticed it has (thoughtfully) included Allentown, Pennsylvania, along with other major (northeastern) cities such as Washington, D.C. and Buffalo, New York (see my previous post for Buffalo). Folks outside U.S. (but greater followers of MSFS News and Updates than me...🙂...) might be wondering, yes, we get Washington D.C. and Buffalo, but why Allentown of all places, and, btw, where exactly is Allentown...🙂...Well...First of all, Allentown had played a central and crucial role in the "American Revolution", "Declaration of Independence", and as the "Liberty Bell's Se…
