The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This is a short repositioning flight from Green Bay, WI - Milwaukee, WI I initially filed 16,000 but with a small layer of clouds I opted for a quick climb to FL180. Routing today was KGRB BJB KMKE. I'm flying the turbocharged piston Duke with a phenomenal livery by TimHH. MKE by iniBuilds and GRB by XWind. MKE is the busiest airport in WI and GRB is the 4th busiest. Hi all, so this is the older Beechcraft Duke model originally for XP10 we talked about. It's by RW Design and I think it's a really good addon for the great XP10, This here is the piston aircraft with Lycoming engines and there is a turbine version as well. Don't like it so much in XP11 and it won't work at all in XP12. Scenery here is around Cork in Southern Ireland. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi all, the fast AS350/H125 over Korsika here full speed 140 knots cruising and AP on. Full speed is usually not the preferred way to fly a helicopter but works rather well here...🙂 And the door is open, oh oh,,,,🙃 This is at Ajaccio Korsika, Aeroport Napoleon Bonaparte LFKJ We have nice airports in XP everywhere today from the scenery gateway and they are constantly improved ready for automatic download. This is done by the large Xplane community. Lot's of details to see and great AI aircraft and airport vehicles, sometimes too much...🙂 And it's all free... Some othoscenery including Simheaven o…

Hi all, the Sikorsky CH53-E is a bit heavy, this is quite different to fly in a helicopter! Net weight is around 13 tons, the fantastic little Airbus H125 is 2,2 tons. Some shots here at Miami area of this nice freeware model, available from Xplane.org. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

[An unrelated Note: Yesterday, I was amazed to spot the "PMDG 777-300ER" in my Xbox/Marketplace. Not sure when exactly PMDG added it to the Xbox, but it is now showing up rather prominently in the Xbox "Featured List" along with that sparkling "NEW" yellow tag on it...🙂...Whatever we may say, credit is due to PMDG for testing and adapting this complex add-on for Xbox users. And considering how seamlessly their 737 flies for me in Xbox (without ever having encountered a single issue that I can recall), I've full faith that this will be a keeper for serious Xbox simmers and some of the Xbox kids...🙂...but I would wait to get this one or maybe one of the other (future) 777 v…

Yesterday, I was reading an article about Airbus 340, in which there was a mention of Sam Chui, who most of us aviation fans would know as the famed aviation and travel blogger. I find Sam's articles and photographs always fascinating. I read; he grew up under the shadows of the 747s making the famous landings into Hong Kong's (old) Kai Tak Airport (see a recent member post here about Kai Tak). Sam was once invited by the Royal Family of Qatar to travel as the only passenger on a (privately owned) 747-SP. Also, he was once the sole passenger aboard the world's only privately-owned 787 Dreamliner....Nice...The article stated that Sam Chui has flown on the A340 over 50 time…

Hi all, a new helicopter is available at the marketplace for a special price and it's by Inibuilds. Similar to their old Bell it works very well and looks perfect. Usually I do not promote addons expressly but here I can say: A "must have". There's a wheeled version as well. This is around ENTO Sandefjord, Norway. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi all, here are a few shots from Baku at the Caspian Sea, capital city of Aserbaidschan. Scenery is by Drezwiecki Design on top of some orthotiles and simheaven overlay. The chopper is the freeware Bell 429 3.0 available from Xplane.org. Has a lot of great paints. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas .

This is a follow-up to my earlier post where I visited St. John's, the most easterly city in North America (excluding Greenland), and the capital of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The geography of Newfoundland itself is rather fascinating, but what's even more fascinating, almost to the point of being "dramatic", is the (curiously formed) Avalon Peninsula that juts out boldly into the sea at the farthest corner of the island of Newfoundland. St. John's then sits at the farthest tip of this Avalon Peninsula. A Peninsula, we know, is a piece of land surrounded by water on three sides and connected to its mainland on one side. Two such good (example) pla…

Hi all, a few shots here between Redcliffe and Coffs Harbour in Australia. Looks better in p3dv6 than in FSX or p3dv4.5. Have limited the frames to 26 because it's too hot here, the graphics card is generating even more heat. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi all, have the older FT scenery here for FSX/p3d where the Kai Tak airport is still active. This is of course fun to hop over from VHHH. Even in p3dv6 all the native FSX files work, including the Catalina which is updated only for P3dv3/32 bit but no issues at all. The famous Checker Board approach here. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Orbx recently released 2WA1, Diamond Point airstrip, one of my favs from the FSX days. I meant to fly a relaxing flight there without showing any pics but sometimes I just start snapping them and can't stop haha! So here's a few flight pics combined with some nice pics of the airstrip - you can decide if you'd purchase it or not - its about 13 USD. The Cirrus paint is from me and I don't typically show off my own paints but I really liked this one 🙂 Departing 13W Camano Island (freeware) takeoff3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Grabbing flight following at 1,500 from Whidbey approach control untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr …
