The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Every few days, when I log into my Xbox/MSFS...having previously thought (off-line) of flying an a/c, that I am really fond of, but have not flown in a while, I occasionally run into one or more MSFS Updates (either Optional or Mandatory). Being on the (humble) Xbox system, this is accompanied by a bit of personal weary...🙂... And, today, when I initiated installation of the latest Mandatory (DEV) Update, I was struck for the first time with a dreadful (Xbox) pop-up message, "You don't have enough data space on the console"...Oh Oh...I thought to myself. Fortunately, lo and behold, I discovered, by going to the Xbox home screen, that, since the time I was away in command …

I'm taking a flight from Mc Call, ID to Jackson Hole, WY. We've got our speedy RV-8 with IFR equipped G3X/GTN. Scenery from Orbx (KMYL) and Dreamflight's KJAC. Hot red paintjob by master painter TimHH. In this flight I'm simulating the use of oxygen for cruising at 17,000. Routing is KMYL DNJ V298 DBS V520 JAC KJAC - we end up cancelling IFR approaching Driggs Idaho and maintain VFR for a incredible mountain view landing at KJAC. I highly recommend both MYL and JAC scenery - the flight wasn't too long either. I also recommend the new SWS RV-8, has an analog and glass cockpit, excellent sounds and a great flight model for hand flying or autopilot usage f…

Hi all, one shot here from PAVD Valdez in v4.5, cannot do it in v6.1 yet because the Orbx objectflow does not really work there. But this doesn't look so bad either...it's a fantastic scenery. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Inspired by this article https://pilotweb.aero/news/new-york-paris-speed-record-set-in-a-daher-tbm-930-6298050/ I decided to try to cross the Atlantic with the default TBM. Well, default but modded to take off with twice the base fuel capacity = 600 Gal with a MTOW at 9200 lbs just like the record-TBM. A 3196 nm trip from New York Stewart International Airport (KSFW) to Paris Le Bourget (LFPB) with a planned air time of 9h, and an estimated PBRN of 3414 lbs. After carefully planning the flight, it is time to start our heavy TBM. Heavy to taxi, heavy to roll, heavy to take off. Forget the usual 3000ft/s+ climb speed, with FLC at 130 kts, we ar…

Since I got this plane, meaning to fly it some more, I've been checking in the (Xbox) Marketplace for additional C-46 Commando repaints (especially a few non-miliary ones), but alas, as contrasted with a plethora of repaints for the DC-3, there are none yet for the C-46 that I can find for Xbox. See e.g., a recent C-46 (member) post of an Everts Air (Alaska) C-46. The C-46 is mostly known for its historically significant role in "Flying the Hump" operation in the Himalayas. However, just as the DC-3, the surplus C-46s also found their way, postwar, into the civilian sectors worldwide, especially in the role of a capacious freighter. Such deployments were noteworthy, …

In my previous post, I'd posted a set of pictures of the 787 Dreamliner in a novel Etihad livery. I distinctly recall the sight of the first (few) 787s, inside the Everett building, in assembly, during one of my visits there, including a fresh-painted ANA 787 rolling out for delivery to the launch customer. The contrast of the bright blue/white colors of ANA livery (ready to fly) vs. the yellow/green colors of the fuselages in assembly, was quite striking. Though I knew of such early stage (primer) colors being used on a/c in factory (here, in this forum, there was also a member post of such an airframe), I'd wondered a bit at that time. Generally speaking, I read today, …

Haven't been able to ascertain for sure whether or not there is or ever was an Air Show facility supplied with the WU17 version of EGLF I decided to stage my own! Just a couple of shots (and in the absence of any air show, I've removed the WU17 EGLF as I already had the Burning Blue Designs version and they look pretty much identical to me anyway)

Today, I wished to fly my "namesake" 787 after a long break. Actually, when I'd come up with my "username" 787-8...🙂...the 787-10 variant, that I am flying here, was probably still on the drawing board. The 787-8 flew for the first time in 2009 and then introduced into service by ANA, whereas the 787-10 was introduced into service by SIA nearly 10 years later. Anyway, last I'd flown the (MSFS/Asobo) 787-10, was before several Updates back. One reason, I have been always a bit nervous to fly this nice airliner (in my Xbox system) is because of occasional loss of (cockpit) avionic displays in mid-flight. Today was, however, different...there was absolutely no mishap from ta…

In my previous post, I'd roamed over and across the Isle of Man (IOM), a tiny island which had received a special mention in the (MSFS) World Update XVII. It was good fun (and a serene feeling) to fly around the island's scenic coastlines, along its narrow central valley, and past the highest summit, Snaefell. Naturally, I then thought of heading out of IOM to the mainland (towards UK on the east), past the Irish Sea. I noted that the Isle of Man (Ronaldsway) Airport is serviced by Aer Lingus, easyJet, and "Loganair". I have not flown Loganair in a long while, but recall flying it often in the past SIMs. And, for destination, I chose EGSS, London Stansted, also specifical…
