The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. Final approach, flight from Panama Tocumen MPTO -> Honduras Tegucigalpa MHTG This is an actual official RNAV approach for RWY02 @ MHTG. IRL the largest ac this airport is handling are the likes of ATR72 and CRJ200. Getting that 737 off this airport was another challenge itself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmicnKRXMwI&ab_channel=SimianFlu

NZA Simulations have done a good regional scenery for Tauranga, NZ. And, the HPG 145 has a series of of Missions, with appropriate animations. This one terminated at TG Hospital Success!

  5. The borough of Yakutat in Alaska (please note it's called a borough not a city) was for a long time, in my own virtual (and imaginary) world, my summer resort...😎...especially when procured at the (nominal) investment of $31.81 AUD spent for the Orbx rendition of PAYA (Yakutat Airport) ...🙂...The FSX/P3D offer on the Orbx website is still available today at the same price, I noted just now. Yakutat is special because from the outside world, there are no roads into the town of Yakutat. It lies in an isolated (remote) location along the Gulf of Alaska, at the mouth of Yakutat Bay, with most visitors having to arrive by air...suits me fine...🙂... This picturesque seasid…

Still messing about in Australia when I have the time. Recovering from rotator cuff surgery is a huge painful deal. Wish I had more time to fly and post here.

  8. One reason we like to fly earlier generation aircraft is because such aircraft open windows back into the yesteryears of aviation...about airlines that no longer exist and aircraft that longer fly...all their memories been dissolved into history and mostly forgotten from memory. But whether the smallest biplane or the largest jet plane that served an airline (existing or defunct) surely have a most fascinating story to tell. How did the airline come about providing vital services to their communities and what kinds of aircraft it deployed...and eventually what happened to these airlines and these aircraft. Maybe some lucky aircraft (in the rarest scenario) got preserved i…

I'm thinking MSFS got that house's elevation wrong. I've flown this route multiple times and that is the first time I have seen something like that. Anywhere.

  10. 12. Hi simmers 😊 A short seightseeing trip over Frankfurt after WU18, the skyscrapers are ORBX Frankfurt City Pack.. ( Programmetry is on ) Programmetry is not perfect, but i would say it is loking real good compared to the beginning of MSFS - progress has definitely been made, that is clearly recognizable ! If you want to see the shots in the best resolution then please click on the picture !! cheers 😉

Hi all, some shots here from the Grenadines again, i love it. Fly Tampa never migrated it to 64 bit, so it runs in FSX-SE here. But it's a rather good old sim so it's fun to fly. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi all, have some more POI's here, 11 shots. Walchensee, near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Kandahar Ski Race Track and Alpspitze in the background, at Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The shot is a bit blurry on the right but wanted to keep it. Eibsee, well frequented recreation area near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, very beautiful. Schneeferner Haus on top of Zugspitze, highest mountain in Germany. A cable car goes up there. And another cable car here for skiing and the cab is animated and moves. Great scenery... Schloss Neuschwanstein of the Bavarian "Kini" and Füssen / Forggensee in the background. Kempten…

Hi all, have that progammetry still on and I can say that I didn't watch any damaged or weird buildings and it doesn't hit the fps. I am trying to figure out how much buildings it affects and here you can see a yellow church which is a model with a texture but the houses around look different and realistic. This is at Frankfurt. So I more and more think that this is a great feature of the sim. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  16. Started by andiflyit,

Hi all, now I also did a flight to check the update and possibly complain to Microsoft "what is that supposed to be?" But it's rather good, programmetry was on and there are many different buildings which seem to be more detailed than a standard autogen building. But not so sure about it yet what it all does. Also some nice POI's, so no need to complain...🙂 Did this little journey from Munich to Vienna every week by car for 6 years in the 90's, because of my job in those days. Munich Allianz Arena Munich Olympia and BMW Munich Nymphenburger Schloss "Downtown" Munich Tegernsee Rose…

Airline callsigns seem to fall into two categories. There are the ones that are simply the airline's name — "Lufthansa 732 Heavy" or "American 1094." And there are the more elegant callsigns, like "Speedbird" for British Airways flights, Aer Lingus' "Shamrock," or "Dynasty" for China Airlines. Then there's "Janet." It's a callsign shrouded in mystery, for an airline that really isn't an airline, with a fleet that bears no logos, based in plain sight of everyone flying into, driving by, or sitting in a hotel room overlooking Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport. Janet has an airline code and flight numbers that can be tracked just like regular comm…

From the Isle of Jura to Whakaari (White Island) Whakaari - This small island is situated 48km off the east coast of New Zealand's North Island and is roughly 800 acres in size. The island itself is essentially the peak of a much larger submerged volcano and has an elevation of just over 1000ft. Whakaari hit the global media headlines in 2019, when a large volcanic eruption resulted in the death of 22 tourists, who were on the island sight-seeing at the time. It's a beautiful sight from 6.000ft but the accident in 2019 serves as a cruel reminder of the power of mother nature. I hope you like the picture. Cheers, Calum

  24. Hey Captains, Today I flew from Munich, Germany to Ancona Falconara, Italy. Hope you enjoy. https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/DLA8300/history/20240830/0935Z/EDDM/LIPY We cruised at 33,000 ft in E-195 airliner, below us is the Adriatic Sea. We flew just east of Venice. Who likes motorcycle yoke of Embraer? 😃 Short final into LIPY, was a bit bumpy 😵 Slowing down , Oof! I didn't make the first exit, but no problem there is another. Welcome to Ancona Falconara (LIPY) Where are the airstairs? Someone is sleeping on the job 🙄 Happy flights to all 😀

  25. Started by CBass,

I've found myself flying mostly in Switzerland and Austria over the last few weeks, following the latest WU - and it looks incredible. My very basic, unfiltered screengrabs won't do it justice, nevertheless, I thought I would share with you a few pictures from my latest flight from Faro to Innsbruck in the A320neo. Hope you enjoy. Cheers, Calum
