The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  4. A pair of shots from my recent CRJ adventures. Climbing out of KJAC on a short hop to KDEN Descending over the San Francisco Bay area on approach to KSTS The second shot is from a flight I did today KPHX-KSTS. The flightplan was IZZZO6 HRRBR CURIV J212 DECAS BOILE AVE PXN OAK SAU STS which took me on a nice tour of very busy airspace/sceneries that simply would have been impossible before P3Dv4 without causing a OOM crash somewhere around the LA Basin, nevermind getting anywhere near San Francisco. With ORBX NCA and SCA activated, I departed Flightbeam KPHX, flew over ORBX KPSP, within view of FSDT KLAX and LatinVFR KSNA, near ORBX…

  9. June 7, 1924: By 2:45 they were refueled and back in the air. Flying down the coast they could see hundreds of villages along the shore and thousands of sampans filled with families and animals. The weather was excellent and there planes were responding perfectly. At Amoy the destroyer USS Preble was waiting. They had great difficulty keeping the many small boats away from the planes. Only after an officer in a motor launch, capsized a few sampans running straight at the boats only to swerve at the last minute to swam the boats did they keep there distance. For the next couple legs I plan on using a true British Classic the Vickers Wellington. The Wellington was …

Still learning to fly her....maybe if I held the yoke more than the brush, I would be comfortable with her. Hehe. Here I am, doing the walkaround...no doubt where I'm at if the post title didn't. In the climb, heading to the flight levels. Turning towards my destination....nice profile shot of her.

  13. A beautiful trip down from North East England to the Balearics this evening, with some excited holidaymakers. Completely default ground scenery. Free EGNT and LEIB addon airports, by TDG. Untouched pics, X-Plane on low to medium settings Skymaxx Pro, although I've not tinkered with it yet and not too happy with the clouds yet!

  17. June 1, 1924. The base at Lake Kasumigaura was a major supply point for the trip and the site where they planned to overhaul there aircraft and get them ready for flying in the tropics, Including replacing the engines and installing larger radiators. The Japanese had planned two weeks of events, but the Lt Smith, concerned that they were at least 30 days behind schedule asked for the celebrations to be compressed to 48 hours. A Japanese admiral hosted them to a traditional Japanese dinner, the flyers were very impressed by the geisha girls who served the meal. After ten days of mechanics and diplomacy they were ready to leave at 5:30 am on June 1 for Kushimoto, 305 mi…

P3D 3.4 ORBX Global, Vector Freeware DH80 Puss Moth The year is 1932, Karachi is still part of India and Mumbay carried still its former name Bombay. To be more precise it is early morning on Oct. 15th 1932 and a young Indian pilot tries to establish together with a British friend, who was a former RAF pilot, India’s first airmail service. It was first called Tata Air Service. The Indian pilot was JRD Tata, who used a DH80 Puss Moth to fly 25 kg of mail via Ahmedabad to Bombay. His British colleague Neville Vintcent was then to fly the Moss to Madras. Today we will concentrate on the first leg of this flight to Bombay. Bags are…
