Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/

- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.

Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.

Yes, I am already a bit tired of the sight of the two MSFS icons on the TV-desktop of my Xbox. So, one will have to go on Nov. 19th...🙂...simply because I am weary of the Xbox (resource) limitations with both versions installed, plus, of course, there also exist, several other (Xbox) "games" (racing and warrior types, which are not my cup of tea) installed in the same Xbox by a certain teenage member of the family...🙂... (and mind you, mine are by no means to be called "games", though I've not had much success convincing the said teenager of such an argument...🙂...) ...Oh well... Now, regarding "my namesake" airplane, I mean the Boeing "787", specifically the "787-8"…

Hi all, now i also have the B707 here and I like it, all the 3d-work and textures are really ok. In terms of flying it's a bit tricky to bring it down the glidesloop, the stallpoint is rather high. So it's best to adjust some throttle (50-60 N1) and go down rather fast, otherwise it will run into calamities. And flaps to 40, not full. Than shut off the AP shortly before touchdown and lift the nose a bit and on the runway reversers, will work. On my model the reverser lights do not work. It always lifts and drops a bit while banking, so it's best to fly into the LOC a bit steep and than wait until the AP has fixed the altitude and than later GS. Th…

Hi all, so this sophisticated UFO-like flying object is available for free from the marketplace. Seems to be inspired by the Dune expansion, but I don't have that installed. It is called "Misriah Armory D77-TC PELICAN and it can perform a vertical takeoff. There are a some more paints in the package. Have to do a deeper examination later. 🙂🙃 Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

I've made some adjustments on taxiway lights. I had to test it in flight and stop spending hours on the MSFS Scenery Editor. There's no reason I shouldn't enjoy! So let's pick an unusual bird (for me) for this very short hop between Fallbrook (L18) and Oceanside (Bob Maxwell KOKB) north of San Diego, CA. Holding point 18. A Cessna is on final. Seated on the dark. Light is slowing warming-up. After the Cessna's go around, line-up runway 18 Fallbrook (L18). I'm not use at all with this bird. Cool handling on ground. But the Rotax is really a new world for me. Climbing to gain some light (and altitude). Real time weather. This MSFS2020 is awe…

In my past SIMs, I've explored the (fascinating) history of BOAC/BEA/BA via various (SIM) aircraft such as B707, B747, Vickers VC-10, DH.106 Comet etc. This post is about a 707 of British Airways, a livery that's included in the add-on repaint pack for Asobo/AH B707. There is however no BOAC livery in this pack which is what I was actually looking for today. BA, as we know it now, is a younger kid around the block...🙂...it just turned 50, quietly without much fanfare, this year (2024) on March 31. However, it must be noted that BA's genetic roots can be actually traced back more than 100 years, to AT&T (No, this has no relation to the AT&T of Alexander Graham Bell…

This is bit of an ambitious post on my part, though I'm no stranger to such posts...🙂...Thanks to this wonderful hobby of ours, I've never shied away from dabbling into the aviation of far-off lands, though myself been mostly a mid-westerner in U.S. The motivation is to appreciate this SIM's visual and geographical aspects, with some of which I am familiar from RW, and some I probably never will, plus the associated history. It's said that "geography and history go hand-in-hand" meaning that the two are deeply intertwined...one cannot exist without the other. You may read as much as you can on paper (or on-line), but there is no better way to trigger thoughts about the av…

I've been meaning to fly Niki Lauda's 737 here since a long while. Though not a fan of Racing myself, I've once visited the Indy 500 event at the Indianapolis Speedway at the invitation of a friend (all I recall is the deafening sound from the race cars and their high-powered engines...🙂...). Anyway, it's hard to have not noticed the (legendary) racing achievements of Niki Lauda in the 1980s...in the Grand Prix and Formula One races. Moreover, the Austrian airline, Lauda Air, founded by Niki Lauda, has been always one of my favorite airlines to fly in the past SIMs. If you're fan of the 737 series, you must have flown Lauda Air, since it flew all the 737 variants (-…

This post is for @meccadom, and is meant to show my own Addons Linker setup, in the hope that it might help. I have a very large AL setup, as I have thousands of addons to manage. Not in any way suggesting that this is THE way to do things, but it's how I'm set up. I simply could not manage my MSFS environment without the AL. Once you've decided how to organise your addons, and have set up your basic "Addons" folder structure, you can then start installing your addons, or if you already have a bunch of addons installed you can jump in here at step 2. Hopefully, the images are fairly self explanatory. Just a couple of things to say here. I did initially do t…

Hi all, this is of course the Fly Tampa Boston scenery. Framerates are ok even with my little graphicscard. And LM has done some improvements with the last patches, so it even works with a limited 6GB graphics memory. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi all, the basic files are updated now by Orbx and I am testing my US-airports now if it works. So KSFF Felts Field, Bozeman Yellowstone and CEF4 Airdrie Airpark work. And the light and atmosphere is all much better than in p3dv4. The 3 choppers are originally from FSX and work as well without issues. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

My guilty pleasure of this morning: flying the little Cessna to big airport in a marginal VFR conditions 🙂 C172 Hawk is the freeware from Bagolu, with the last update and the good news that it should be 100% similar (effect one fancy effect on the windshield, I don't care) in MSFS2024. KPDX Portland by Flight Beam and the real time weather by MSFS2020. AI Traffic by AIG.

While reading a bit this week about ultra-haul flights of modern times, I recalled that in the period (2000-2010) when I was active in (RW) long-haul travels, several landmark long-haul (RW) flights and records were established and reported in the news. My topic for this post is specifically about Singapore Airlines, and I mention, here, up front, that the (New York City - Singapore) route has been long recognized in modern (commercial) aviation as one of the world's longest flights. So, not surprisingly, Singapore Airlines has been in the forefront of many ultra-long-haul milestones. This airline singularly operated one of the stalwarts of ultra-long-haul flights, the A3…

I've recently been flying some of my older addons, addons which gave me a lot of joy throughout MSFS2020's lifespan. Here is the Black Square King Air 350 on a quick hop from Brainerd KBRD to Duluth KDLH. It's about 95 flying miles or so including the visual approach to runway 27. I'm cruising at 15,000 today. There is forecast icing as well but we've got a nice direct tailwind of nearly 50 kts. Which gives us a ground speed of well over 320 knots... it's a quick flight! Hope you enjoy! This low overcast layer looks superb! Gear up as we depart BRD's runway 24... And just like that we're in the soup With an almost 3000 fpm climb rate,…
