The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

After more than 75 years, thousands of de Havilland Canada (DHC) aircraft still remain in active service around the world today. These aircraft are highly sought after for the hardest jobs in the toughest environments. Their reputation for versatility & dependability is legendary. Geoffrey de Havilland's legacy (of innovation and risk) had started with the "Moth" in 1925. The first Moth was the DH.60, a straight-winged biplane two-seater (see the 1st shot below; credit to Golden Age Simulation). To enable storing the plane in small spaces, the DH.60's wings could fold backwards against the fuselage. "Like a moth" had remarked Geoffrey de Havilland, an avid lepidopteri…

I departed sunny Agua Dulce, CA to find myself skirting below cloud bottoms into Burbank. Was hoping for a little more sun! HL James would probably recognize all of this stuff... hope he's ok! A test flight from Flying Cloud KFCM to Duluth, MN KDLH. Again sorry for the jpeg compression. These shots are all tack sharp before I uploaded them. Anyway the bird hand flies beautifully... I flew with the needles for now... maybe an avionics "upgrade" later.... I still think this gyro is so stellar as is the Avsim member who steered me in VSkylab's direction right here in the screenie's forum some months ago. Imagine a short takeoff, zero roll landing slow mover, that is what this aircraft is and such landings can be pulled off to perfection. It is a great aircraft for cruising over scenery with and without autogen, without autogen you can climb up to about a thousand feet AGL and see the earth as it is made, with autogen you can fly low and weave in and out of the trees and have a sensation of speed and control most aircraft do not give you. And gyros are great, not only with their subtle helicopter like sound, but with the …

Some cool Xplane11 freeware, I love them both, the Falcon 20 has been rarely touched by our hobby Played a bit with rolling the F-15 as you will see. I was surprised the shot turned out especially because I did the roll from spot view, which is a tad harder ! John

The climbout from SLC, as the Wasatch Mountains fade in the distance and the salt flats and basin and range scenery begins to extend before the ever curious pilot, is wonderful to see, every time, especially with photoreal scenery....

Our last trip into Gilgit was with an F 27, now for the longer trip from Gilgit to Kathmandu (1370 km or 850 miles) we needed something faster. As always, should you want to see the pics in their original size, please click on them twice We are now in the southern part of the Nepalese airspace. While the Pakistani/Indian site showed a more brownish terrain, this one is slightly greener, just like in the real world Dead ahead in the distance you can see Mt. Everest Turning towards Kathmandu I have to admit, I jus…

This is the 2nd set of images for the story for a flight flown un-eventfully with a Lockheed C-5 Galaxy (an occasional but actual visitor to McMurdo Station, and impressive in its own right), but this SIM aircrfat I've never flown (in my recollection), to the Ice Runway (NZIR) of U.S. McMurdo Station on Antarctica. Per AS “Antarctica X”, the "Mac Town" houses a small supermarket, a gym, a helipad, an ATM, more than one bar, a club and a church whose bells are ringing daily between 12am and 1pm in AS's “Antarctica X” scenery! A screenshot of the SIM/AS-FSC sourced Route Map is shown below - with the LHS track being the planned route over McMurdo Sound (west of Ross Island)…

Hi, some days ago a saw screenshots from a flight Zurich-Philadelphia. It looked quite easy: Taking off at Zurich... Landing at Philadelphia. Some hours of flying in between. But what to do when your plane consumes Kerosene the way a Siberian drinks Vodka? At first find a place where they can maintain a Tupolev in the western hemisphere. I thought of Havana: Due to fuel consumption, a planned to cross the Atlantic in three legs: Havana - Bermuda; Bermuda - Acores; Acores - Germany. Flying the Tupolev means work for a crew of four: Getting up. Bermuda in sight: The next day: En route again! …
