The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I enjoy flights over the metro area and desert where I live. I also like showcasing both freeware and payware, the VSkylabs Eurofox and the freeware motorized Swift glider found at Xplane.org, a legal Part 103 ultralight. There was one near Tuscon I wanted to see, but at the time I was too heavy to fly it, sad because today I am now the typical 170# pilot--maybe I will find one again some day to fly in the rural areas of Arizona, or to soar, using my fixed wing and ultralight trike training. I have flown the Kitfox, the Eurofox's experimental cousin, near Provo Utah, I flew up in the morning on Southwest from Phoenix, my host and and CFI friend bought me a hamburger at…

I went thru Basque country on the ground, and the majestic Pyrenees on my way to Madrid, for the first time in my life in 2017 on my eighth trip to Europe since I was 15 in '77--my previous seven trips never took me to Spain or the Atlantic coast of France and my previous trip way back in '95 was for my work with IBM and Holiday Inn in Bologna Italy with a stop in Frankfurt coming and going on my Lufthansa and USAirways flights. Thought I would remember Eddie Rickenbacker and France's commitment to two world wars in these photos. Also should mention last shot is from central Biarritz itself, which I took in 2017. John

Flying an Ercoupe, like I did near Denison Texas into Oklahoma, is interesting without rudder pedals. You steer with the yoke on the ground like a car, kind of strange, and you crab like a rudder equipped aircraft if there is a crosswind component, the Ercoupe will straighten out on touchdown. It is the only classic aircraft I flew from takeoff to touchdown although it landed like a brick, because we were overweight and density altitude was high the day I flew it. It had to be coaxed to gain altitude but once trimmed for cruise it was fine to fly, an it is the only aircraft I ever flew across any state lines. John

Flying my trike in one of my several liveries. I had to make some mods to it for it to work in P3DV4.4, but it seems to have issues so I would not recommend it for P3D users, something changed from P3D4.3 to 4.4 that made originally reflective textures transparent, so I had to remove those bitmaps which keep the aircraft loading from the aircraft menu, I can only load it from thankfully the one situation I saved. If I want to change aircraft liveries or to one of my other five models, I have to edit the FXML file, at least it is XML format so editable. I have to keep in mind this is an FSDS2 model I originally made way back for FS2002, it worked in FSX but there it had…

Although I no longer have FS2004, I was scrounging around my hard drive and found these pics I posted a long time ago to show off soft horizons. Now that I use Imgur as a perm image hosting service, I thought I would share the beauty of a classic sim and its ever changing skies. The Just Flight repaints were my own for FS9 and FSX, one day I will get the Duchess for Xplane11.... John

The Danube, known by various names in different languages (e.g. Donau in German), is Europe's second longest river, after the Volga. Once a long-standing frontier of the Roman Empire, today it flows through 10 countries, more than any other river in the world. Mighty Danube's humble origin is near the city of Donaueschingen (in the southeastern corner of Germany) formed by the confluence of the small Brigach stream and the Breg River. This union occurs on the castle grounds in front of the castle Donaueschingen. The Danube then flows southeast, passing through or bordering Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine before draining …

Tonite I did a short flight on Pilot Edge... so I didn't have time to take a lot of shots. I departed 8L at KLAS with an almost direct 20 kt crosswind... plenty of rudder authority for the falcon but it was gusty so difficult to keep total centerline. I hand flew the climbout and engaged the AP around FL180. Then did a visual into KTNP. I'm pretty impressed with the PBR on this aircraft. The beacon at TNP did illuminate the fuselage (note the top) and you can see some ambient lights sparkling off the fuselage. I think nighttime looks so much better. Even though I only climbed to FL240, with the decent quartering tailwind I was up to 520 knots over the ground (thou…
