The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I enjoyed a long and relaxing realtime flight from Catalina to Phoenix today. Had something odd happen though, I noticed my two compass gauges did not agree, so the gps guided me in the wrong direction. I do not know how I did that to Xplane11 but I will have to make a preflight check, to make sure they agree, leaning to the magnetic compass. Edit: I forgot to mention, my Catalina airport, and Sky Harbor Airport, are among the several airports I have from MisterX6. I have his LAX, SAN, SNA and a couple of other scenery gems from him as well. His airports have better performance, at greater detail, than the Xplane11 defaults. John

I flew this flight in realtime today over my Photo Scenery made with Ortho4XP using SimHeaven's trees. The aircraft is available for download at Xplane.org, I converted it from the original author as is but it certainly flies like a STOL aircraft would and can climb well, even at the Grand Canyon's altitude. It does not move fast, about 80KIAS at 7500 feet, but it flies well, and is a very good hand flyer that can practically parachute in for a landing with its STOL characteristics. John

I found this aircraft that was once used by a flight school I went to in Chandler way back when. It is an Xplane10 aircraft I downloaded from Xplane.org but it did not work in Xplane11. But I have heard some aircraft could be "resurrected" if saved in Planemaker10, then saved in Planemaker11. So I downloaded the Xplane10 demo for the sole purpose of bringing this simple but fun LSA back to life, since there has been no activity from the original developer. The CH 650B S-LSA X-Plane project was a creation of Olivier Faivre and HydroZ in collaboration with Zenair and Zenith Aircraft Co., designers and manufacturers of the CH 650B S-LSA / Experimental aircraft. …

I see (and greatly enjoy) the (occasional) 747-8/8F simulation images, here, in our virtual skies. I also happened to recently read an old Lufthansa Magazine article on Joe Sutter, chief design engineer of the original B747 project, and credited to be the father of this legendary plane. The article impressed me much coming especially from Lufthansa, a respectable and highly regarded Airline, which, of course, has a very long history w/ Boeing, including being the original proponent and launch-customer for the most modern version of B747, the B747-8. So, this post and a few accompanying images relate to the significant role Joe Sutter played in the creation of B747 (the ic…

This time I want to fly along the beautiful Aleutian Islands. In the real world you are greeted most of the time with less than favorite weather conditions. Luckily we can influence this in our sim, so that we have a chance to enjoy the scenery 😉 Ortho4XP, source: USA_2, ZL: 16 Thanks for viewing

Inbound to Nairobi - Jomo Kenyatta Intl. Mountains looking a bit close before being given the ILS intercept.. Rubbish landing - too much float (yes an MD-11 can float - at least in the sim with a relatively light load lol) and off centreline... bah!

... and hopefully I'll get some from FlyTampa. KBUF Buffalo Niagara International Airport looks really nice from distance, I had a lot of fun with it while updating the AFD. At the moment I'm visting a lot of my old airports, used them last a long time ago. Bad! But it's my fault. Anyway: FlyTampa Airports are one of the best! Have also fun with your old ones! Urmel

I always like to post images of aircraft I have flown in in real life and the places I've flown over when riding in them. My last copter flight was an AS350 Grand Canyon Heli Tour back in 2013, great memory for me... John

Here are two German iconic liveries of Airbus A310 (flying out and in at Warsaw Chopin Airport (EPWA)): [Set 1 images] Taking off from RWY 33 is German Air Force "Luftwaffe 10+22" (referenced and AI-sighted in the post "Cologne to Tbilisi") [Set 2 images] Landing on RWY 11 is GDR "Interflug" (Commercial Airliner) Interflug GmbH was the national airline of East Germany from 1963 to 1990.
