The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Being raised in the Napa Valley, I always like to say that Sedona is to Arizona as what the Napa Valley is to California.... A nice day trip from Phoenix... John

Propstrike Studio's free Machmell Fisheries scenery for Xplane11, along with the fine payware Icon A5 amphibian that can enjoy the great white north and the beautiful fjord like setting, and campfire smells I can just imagine for real life bush pilots. I have only flown along this coast at 35,000 feet on my way to Japan, my parents had the pleasure of cruising it with Royal Caribbean, and took a heli glacier ride as well along the inside passage. Their pics were beautiful, and if I were to take one cruise, it would be an Alaskan one, in the summer, so I could enjoy as much light as I can and also be near my Russian roots, since some of my family had such roots way way b…

MSE's photo scenery graces the Piper Sport shots, I love the new nighttime textures in the P3D4.5 release, shown off with the Shorts out of Dulles flying up the BOS-Wash metroplex. It makes night flying more realistic, with more distant lights fading into the haze at whatever vis one chooses to set... John

Times have certainly changed over the years. I didn't join the forums here until 2009, so I'm assuming most people are not familiar with the original Air Kevin livery when the airline was started on July 30th, 2003. The following screenshot was taken some time in 2004. At the time, I was running FS2002, and the graphics at the time weren't really all that great. I have no idea how, but somehow, somewhere, I recently stumbled across this screenshot once again. Fast forward to today, and I'm now running P3D V4 with the latest and greatest....or at least, it was a year ago, anyway. You can see how much better this old livery can look on a much more advanced simulator, e…

This is a wonderful pair of cities to fly between, and the Premier 1A makes it a short flight at FL400. I love the transition of scenery, from the North SF Bay, to farmland, to the High Sierra and finally a shot of Death Valley, and the pristine desert around and into Vegas, then the strip with its resorts all lined up. Decided to take a trip from Blackpool EGNH down to London Stansted EGSS (I've got an MD11 en-route to Stansted 😉 ) in a Rockwell Commander 114. The latest VFR Real includes 3d autogen too and IMHO it works well for photoreal. I've only got the autogen set to normal in my sim rather than full on, so it looks a little sparse but that's my compromise.(I need to get an SSD )

The YS-11 by NAMC (Nihon Aeroplane Manufacturing Company) was a 1960s turboprop (60-seater) aircraft that was the only true Japanese entry into commercial aviation. It was built by a joint venture of five (or so) companies that included: (Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Fuji) heavy industries. BTW, all these three companies have played a role, more recently, in the production of B787. One of the primary designers of YS-11 was Jiro Horikoshi, who was responsible for the famous WW II fighter, A6M Zero. The YS-11 can be said to consist of, "U.S. Parts + British Engines + Japanese Assembly" e.g. the aluminum was from ALCOA, the landing gear from Goodyear, and of course the Rolls-R…

This is a nice one hour or so flight between a good pair of cities, with scenery transitioning from Texas farmland to high desert, then to the Valley of the Sun. John
