The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Screenshots from the ultimate in aviation coming out of the second world war into the 60's, John Glenn orbiting the earth in Friendship Seven and remembering that he did it again in the Space Shuttle. He most certainly had, "The Right Stuff", still the best comedy-drama I feel i ever saw.... John

B25 Mitchell--I do not often get warbirds, but a member posted this aircraft recently and I felt it worth having to honor Memorial Day and upcoming Veteran's Day. The other aircraft is the Carenado Mooney, which I am sure some old B25 pilots must have own and flown in their post war years... John

Just picked up TrueEarth Washington and got it installed. Haven't flown much in X-Plane so I'll look for a more appropriate bush aircraft for the next flight 🙂

Mooney Ovation, a great piston single and classic, fast and economical aircraft, fun to fly with RealityXP installed in Xplane11. It has bags of power, a little fighter in disguise for us piston speed demons. Next up will be P3D's ATR 42 500. John

Hello aviator enthusiast I have many, perhaps too many hours in the sim and i have been to places that I may never see/visit outside of the virtual world. However, much of what I have seen is encouraging and I have set my sights on traveling. But at the moment allow me to share some recent places of my virtual travel. Please be advised all shots are using p3dv4.5 and my sim is heavily loaded. Enjoy

I like this chopper more than any I have, for Xplane11 or P3DV4.5. It has wonderful manners and although made for FSX, it can be installed in P3D4.x by just pointing the installer to P3D's main folder. I miss the old Munch brother's Rotorway which had a similar sleek appearance to the Enstrom, but the Enstrom fills the void for me in the 3 place copter category. It has several model variations, including the two shown here. The float model is shown near Napa's Lake Berryessa. I have included a link to this fine lil' chopper... (BTW: Regarding those 2 little phonetic dots above "u" - I didn't know that pair of dots (= Umlaut) was first named/described so by Jacob Grimm, of the (Brothers) Grimm's fairy tales fame....Anyway back to aviation from linguistics...) Bücker 133 Jungmeister was a Luftwaffe trainer of the early 1930s. It must have been quite an impressive plane of its time, because I find references like this: The aircraft showed "astonishing agility" at its first public appearance, the 1936 International Aerobatic Championship... The Bü 133C racked up numerous victories in international aerobatic competition... Also another notable fact: it was first flown in 1935 …

I've revisited the Victor and have been playing around with the cruise lift scalar and htail_incidence to get her to fly with a level attitude, even at not unreasonable military speeds (say 300kt at less than 10000 feet..) .... apart from in this pic when I gave her 100% N1 and pointed her heavenward. (The VSI was off the clock at 4000 ft/min so good ness knows what she was actually climbing at.)

Due to my years of break from SIM, occasionally I come across, in my Archive, an aircraft, that I would like to fly much more than I have actually done. Especially propliners have a unique appeal for me. For example, YS-11 was one such plane I'd recently discovered and posted an account about. The subject aircraft (SIM) of this post, I've not flown in more than 4-5 years...it is the Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner, a 19-seat twin turboprop airliner, built in San Antonio, TX, that had its first flight on Aug, 26, 1969, but is currently out-of-production. Because FAA regulations limited an airliner to no more than 19 seats if no flight attendant was to be carried, the aircr…

Various VTOL. One is a payware 2-place copter made in Europe in real life, the other a jetpack inspired from Lost In Space and the real life jetpacks that date into the 60's. Last pic is a screenshot made from a rare Lost In Space TV episode, episode four of the series, before it became too campy. The first five or six Lost In Space episodes were very good Sci Fi melodrama, I always thought, having seen them when they originally aired back in the early to mid 60's. I should mention the jetpack can be downloaded for free from VSkylab's site, and is a great VTOL aircraft capable of zero speed takeoffs and landings for those who find copters too challenging in Xpla…
