The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Some closer detail. My C195 is dwarfed by the Qantas Deamliner, and some nice weathering on the buildings and windows at this end of the AP. Thats All Folks ! Cheers

  9. OK, I know there have been problems for some people - I was getting the AI CTDs initially before the hotfix - but really, the raving about how MSFS has been 'destroyed' to fit on the XBox seems to have gone off in to a galaxy of its own. As far as I can see on my system, no major damage has been done to the visuals, plus I've been able to put my LODs back up to 500 and still get a boost in fps to let me run pretty much anywhere in full ultra at my fixed 30 fps. Down where I like to be, at least, it's all looking pretty fine. A few just out of EGHA, Compton Abbas, to check things out. I hope anybody who is having genuine issues …

  10. I have seen, here, plenty of (beautiful) screenshots of the Diamond DA62...e.g. the Aerobask one from XP and, of course, the modded (default) one from MSFS...and, this plane has been on my mind, since a very long time, too. Today, somehow, I was led to the Diamond Aircraft official website...and, read, there, the leading promotional slogan for this a/c: "DA62 - The Ultimate Flying Machine - (Space, Performance, Efficiency, Luxury)"... And then the (friendly) invitation, "Are you interested to buy.....?"...Oh well...I thought, why not, though, I mean, of course, via the local portals of Carenado or (authorized dealer) Just Flight...🙂... Anyway, here, below, is a …

Hi there, I am one of the lucky ones who does not experience any CTDs with SU5, but I am unhappy with the visual appearance... First: Somewhere between Grenoble and Chambéry with World Update France installed Second: Somewhere over southern USA Third: Pueblo Airport, KPUB I personally did never have any performance issues with MSFS. And I do not have noticable performance improvements with SU5. I just want the quality back, that I was used to have. What do you think? Best, Holger

More fiddling around with P3D v5.2HF1. I am not finding many aircraft that ran ok in v4.5, doing so when loaded into v5.2HF1. One that is though is the Jahn/Visser C-47. Absolute gem of an aircraft. This one is headed North East in Washington State. (I lost the top of the screenshot to a jagged line across the shot. Above the line it showed distant mountains) T45 (P3D v5.2HF1)

  18. Not quite global warming, but a bit scary if you're directly underneath. We've had one of these at the local airshow for the last couple of years pre-covid, and it finishes the show with its vertical climb on full throttle and then away over the bay (hmm, I really ought to recreate that in the sim some time). We're maybe a mile away horizontally and it is deafening. At least is doesn't go past a couple of hundred feet over the roof, or sometimes even below roof height but in front of us down out little "valley", which is what one of the Red Arrows does a part of their display. I know a lot of folk on here consider this a not very good aircraft for the sim, but I like…

Back in P3D while MSFS gets sorted. This is a Carenado ACII Commander 114 departing the Montana back country at Dawn, into the rising sun. Never seen this before - the high tension pylons all had a blinking red light at the top.😃 T45 (P3D v5.2HF1)

  23. Hello, one day before SU5 was released, I've made a bunch of screenshots at different locations to compare them with SU5 (mostly to compare FPS before/after). Here are some of them. Setup: - 2 different aircraft: C152 (steam gauges) and C172 (glass cockpit) - one shot in cockpit, one from external view behind the aircraft (no change of view direction) - one set of shots on the runway, one in the air - for the shots in the air, I activated "active pause" once the flight was loaded - time: 10 AM for every shot and every location - weather: always scattered clouds - track IR paused - graphic settings where unchanged in…
