The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I haven't posted screenshots on Avsim for 10+ years but MSFS has pulled me back into the community... It has also made flying over Iran with its mesmerizing mountainous landscapes such a joy that a few of us (who were never scenery developers) have started a project to build out the most detailed sceneries of the airports in the country ever made on any platform! We start with OIIE Tehran IKA which I hope you all enjoy - plan for release this weekend…

Let me explain....🙂....First of all, after recently seeing the venerable (likable, and, maybe, cute is not out-of-place, either) Cessna 140, around here, I recalled that I was not only flying freeware versions of this plane during my earliest days of SIM, but, also, that I have not, so far, picked up the Aeroplane Heaven C140, that has been available for years. So, I did finally pick it up today. There are very few early (era) GA planes that evoke the kind of nostalgia, as this tiny (Cessna) beauty does....so, I was delighted to see pictures of it, here, from MSFS. Second, I'd recently accepted the challenge of (Queenstown) VOR/DME Rwy 23 approach, considered one of …

Well, I like the movie anyway haha! Near FA08 Fantasy of Flight in the Diamond and headed to KFBL from the MSP area in the Baron. I'd say the the livery on the BE58 is the best I've found so far - https://flightsim.to/file/14501/baron-58-redblackgray da62FA08 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr da62FA082 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr da62FA083 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr da62FA084 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Baronadjust by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr baronadjust2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr baronadjust3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr

For this post, I have gone back, one more time, to my (new) Orbx (EGHI) scenery-add on, and, for a/c, to an old Cessna 152 SIM (it was a freeware offering from JF, I recall, that I thought of today). And, the plane itself, not often seen around here, is also an old (one of the earliest) Cessna model (out-of-production for over three and half decades)... I've set Season to "Fall"...not sure, though, how realistic it is for Hampshire/England region, lifted off EGHI (Rwy 02) northward (i.e. in-land) for about 10 miles, reversed course (U-turn) for a racetrack pattern, now, heading towards the Ocean (i.e. English Channel) side...for about 10 miles past the airport, and, …

Hungary VFR is IMO one of the finest freeware sceneries. These shots are in Budapest but he includes alot more areas and airstrips. There's even animals in the zoo! This freeware reminds me of Prealsofts payware Vienna Austria that I just purchased and enjoy. Hungary VFR is just as good! HungaryVFR FS2020 » Microsoft Flight Simulator

I realised that I really do have a huge number of airports and addons for France, and particularly since the regional update I've also felt the basic scenery was pretty impressive. Plus of course, being a native Brit I know nothing much for real about the place, only the typical English cartoon images. So I thought it was time to get to know the place a bit better. Don't know how far I'll get but I plan to try and visit a lot of the countryside and record all my trips for posterity! I also bit the bullet and bought the France VFR 'Obstacles' pack. I was interested when it became available but hesitated due to the price. But (as I knew I would) I weakened in the end and go…

The "Spectacular" in the title, here, sounds like a commercial for Southampton,...🙂..., because, it actually is...this is how Orbx has introduced this (nice) add-on (airport) scenery, which I picked up, today, from their on-going SALE... So, please find, below, 20 screenshots of this airport and vicinity, as I did a bit of sightseeing around (without the use of any plane)... The single Runway (02-20) of Southampton (EGHI), being north-south oriented, one can easily spot, in below images, I believe, the M27 motorway cutting across Hampshire, winding just past the Runway, on the south of the airport. Also included are a couple of shots of the Southampton Airp…

Frankly, this topic has been on my mind, since, the first day, I got my (RXP) GTN 750, which I got (as they say, better late than never), purely encouraged by seeing its (frequent) use by other members, here. Today, while I was searching a bit for information about NZQN (Queenstown) airport, I came across an interesting discussion in the MSFS Forum "EPIC Approach Procedures – STAR, RNAV, ILS, LOC, VOR DME, ADF, Visual", which contains a user-submitted compilation of challenging Rwy approaches. The very first one listed, there, coincidentally, happens to be for NZQN (RNAV Y RWY 05 (or Rwy 23) plus RNAV STAR RWY 05), and, the last one is for Hong Kong VHHX (IGS Rwy 13)...of…
