The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Checking out a nice freebie from ORBX, SIJY airfeild, in southern Brazil, an area I have never looked at before. As luck would have it, Live Weather gave me a beautiful morning to check out the area and follow the Itajai-Acu River to Itajai on the coast. Very scenic spot with access to the Brazilian highlands, Curitiba to the north and Buenos Aires to the south.

  9. Piper's twin-engined (prop) planes are a fascinating breed, passionately admired by the Piper aficionados....the PA-23 Apache (later called Aztec) was the first ever twin-engined aircraft made by Piper, that had started the twin tradition. It was powered by the famous Lycoming IO-540 engines (first run 1957). [Side Note: A quarter century later, in 1983, Continental would go on to produce their famous version of the same "Fuel (I)njected" and "Horizontally (O)pposed" IO-550 (please note, "550" designation, here, being 10 cubic-inch more of displacement/capacity volume than that of Lycoming IO-540; also, Continental IO-550 was developed from their previous IO-520, so, Cont…

This came out today. I already had the freeware one but thought I'd try this out. Glad I did, one of their better efforts. Just a few shots of a couple of places that caught my eye Heading out from OMDB Had spotted the sign for this in the distance Looks like fun Sign's not terribly clear in this shot, but it's the Sharjah Astronomy Center A bit later And a bit later still I managed to overwrite one of the sections of this trip when I saved the file so I'll be heading back there soon. After I've set up some additional key bindings for the H135. Found a good video for info on the AP functions so I'l…

Hi simmers 🙃 A real joy to fly this beautiful Bird, and it isn`t that complex, i watched 3-4 vids and my "read document time" was about one hour and i would say i understand about 70% from the plane and that is enough to make just good flights - and that`s all i need because that is what i am doeing FLYING !! So if you think to get this thing go ahed, you would have great fun to learn and to fly and to love what you doeing - just my two cents 😎😍 !! cheers 😉

  17. On the subject of Piper (GA) a/c (please see my previous post on PA-46T Malibu), in the recent past, I had collected another Piper a/c, but, had not got to fly it yet...So, here, we go, with (PA-30) Twin Comanche. Though the PA-23 Apache was the first ever twin-engined aircraft made by Piper, it was actually a design derivative from the "Stinson Aircraft Company". Piper transformed an original Stinson design (the "Twin Stinson") into the successful Piper Apache, the world's first general aviation all-metal twin-engined modern aircraft. So, the roots of Piper's (remarkable) Twin tradition lie buried in the Stinson company, which it later acquired in 1948. [Side Note: It's …

  18. A short while ago, I'd posted about the Piper Cheyenne III (PA-42), and the post was well-received by the (local) Piper Twin aficionados, around here...🙂....I, myself, find the Piper Twins fascinating. As I'd noted there, the PA-23 Apache (later called Aztec) was the first ever twin-engined aircraft made by Piper, that had initiated Piper's (legendary and prolific) twin tradition. Here, for this post, I switch gears, and move to another special Piper, but a "single-prop". The PA-46T Malibu (also from Carenado), I've not flown in ages, and thought of it today. The PA-46 was initially prototyped as piston-powered and un-pressurized, however, Piper had to later correct for b…
