The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I lied. This is not about a 777 flying over an overcast. This is about one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built in a CAVOK weather in the Aegean Aren't you happy I lied ?

Just installed another Covid special over the weekend and having a great time flying. This is the Carenado Saab 340 commuter turboprop in a Rex livery, a plane and company I've flown on and with many a times to regional areas of Australia. And during those times, I've watched a pilot doing his walk around reject a tire, then get a mechanic to jackup the plane and replace said tire, then give all the watching passengers the thumbs up with a big smile. Had a really rough landing approch in a storm where pasengers were screaming, I'll readily admit it was scary at the time. And once coming into land at a regional in heavy fog I saw the tree tops right the…

I finally had time for a full flight today. A Skyhawk from Cleveland, Ohio's Burke Lakefront BKL to Put in Bay's North Bass Island 3X5. I flew mostly along the south shore of Lake Erie (a huge freshwater "Great Lake" in the USA if you're not from around here!) There is some nice freeware for both the BKL and 3X5 airports (and the surrounding Put in Bay area). I know there is ferry access to most of the islands in this area but to my excitement almost all of them have runways! There is also one island that is on the Canadian side of the lake. These islands would also be a short flight from the Detroit, MI area. Along the way I pass just north of Cleveland Int'l …

We know well of An-2 Annushka, but, it has a sibling An-3, that's less known. An-2 flew in Aug 1947, and the An-3 (though numerically designated just "1+") flew 33 years later, in May 1980. So, although it is designated An-3, this number was not assigned in chronological sequence. Antonov assigned "-3" designation to the plane because it was meant to replace the An-2. It was possible to assign "-3" to this plane, because, in the serial list of Antonov aircraft, after An-2, appear An-6 (Maiden flight 1948) and An-4 (Maiden flight 1951) i.e. An-3 designation was skipped and left unfulfilled, and, therefore, available for later use, until 1980. An-3 is a turboprop …

The pandemic seems not the best time to start an airline, but the Breeze Airways is trying to prove the contrary. The new startup (LCC) airline, established by the founder of JetBlue (and also of Azul Brazilian Airlines), started operations, 4 days ago, on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from Tampa (KTPA) to Charleston (KCHS), for its inaugural flight. The airline has, for now, put into service three Ex-Azul E195 Embraer Jets, and the airline is code-named "Moxy". Here is the data about the (RW) flight that landed, a few hours ago, today, (31-MAY-2021). Airline: Breeze Airways "Moxy" ORIG/DEST: TAMPA, FL (TPA) -> Charleston, SC (CHS) Flight No.: Breeze Airways 10…

The Sopwith Aviation Company was a British aircraft company that designed and manufactured aeroplanes in the First World War, most famously the Sopwith Camel. Their Sopwith range of biplanes have interesting names (Sociable (sometimes called "Churchill" or "Tweenie"), Baby, Sparrow, Pup, Bee, Camel, Hippo, Rhino, Dragon, Dolphin, Cuckoo, Snail, Grasshopper...among others...). I came across "Dolphin" and "Cuckoo" in the Library uploads toady...I'd "Camel" before. So, please find below, one image each of Dolphin, Cuckoo, and Camel in that order...Enjoy...! Notes: "Dolphin proved to be a formidable fighter...The pilot sat with his head through the frame, wher…

The only place I've discovered so far that I will turn photogrammetry on for. (but I'd still rather have a properly 3d modelled version where I could drift up the Grand Canal in the A5 and not feel like someone had spiked my cocoa)

Finding the Orbx stuff a bit of a lucky dip these days. KAVX is good, but for me it suffers from their main fault at the moment - the buildings are all a bit too clean and fake looking. I guess it's just down to the individual developers, but I know they can do more realistic buildings - Shoreham and Elstree are both much more realistically modelled. Still, I bought it so I guess I'm not that upset about it. Anyway, just after dawn and off in the H135. Never made it here in RL so this'll have to do me! Moved the clock forward a couple of hours for this shot 4k, ultra plus, etc. Oh, and Bijan's seasons and trees. I take that for granted these …
