The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  4. Thought I'd load up P3D to have a look at the CS 777 in that sim. Forgotten what a pain loading that thing is. So thought I'd stick another bunch of these up while I wait This is interesting. It is (was?) included in DD's Moscow package and is supposedly Mr DD's apartment/offices I always did like this beast -

@bernd1151 flying over jungles is an acquired taste, isn't it ? Here are more jungles in Laos. The aircraft is the Flyingiron bird in Ezer Weizman "Black Spitfire" livery. Weizman, a former RAF pilot during WW2, became the 7th president of Israel. You can see the aircraft in the Hatzerim AFB base in South Israel, along a Mustang and... an Avia S-199 (aka Messerschmitt Bf 109G) all in IAF livery. @David Roch may confirm that she still is in flying condition. This was in a flight between Vientiane and Luang Prabang. The awful blue haze ruined earlier pics in the flight. Look at the ingenuity of humankind, taking everysquare meters for cultivation I st…

  7. Started by HighBypass,

I took one of the FIGAS (Falkland Islands Government Air Service) Islanders out for a hop. Weather was OK, but it was almost solid overcast at about 2800 feet. I haven't really explored all the island network as represented in a freeware product (Falklands 2007) and silly me forgot to print out a map of the airstrips so I just departed RAF Mount Pleasant and headed south east. I had the NDB and VOR dialled in just in case! A gap in the overcast! After I'd stooged around for about an hour or so, I spotted a strip over on West Falkland which I'd not visited until now - MOFN.. Middle Of F...... Nowhere. Actually I "think" this is the strip at Port Stephens.. …

A few more I love some of these older transports This one's a real fav, probably because it was one of those large scale kits I built as a kid This would be great to fly around low and slow over France after the last update in MSFS More fun And why not? "Scotty, I don't think we're supposed to be this low"

  12. I wish to mention, here, that this CRJ is powered by two Collins FMS-4200 Flight Management Computers (see screenshots). With the SIM package, there is a very readable/usable 68-page (standalone) FMS Documentation available. FMSs are powerful avionics components, providing navigational guidance, and many other performance computations etc. I am also using it here to track to the highest peaks of the Apennines range, without guesswork,...🙂... BTW, of historical interest: "Boston-born Willard Rockwell (1888–1978) made his fortune with the invention and successful launch of a new bearing system for truck axles in 1919....In 1973, Rockwell acquired Collins Radio, a major avio…

Some more aircraft missing in action (or "missing in simulation", I suppose) Can't remember the exact model of this, some kind of Horten, I think Always like the look of both this and the Bf110 a couple of shots back Again, can't remember what this was. One of those never made it off the drawing board 1950s Brit things. Around the TSR2 time, I think Yet another German flying wing design. Hey - don't have a cow, man This'd be fun in MSFS Haven't tried this in MSFS yet, I know it's out there A really nice modern version of this would be great Can't be too long before we get one of these …

  20. Now that they've updated their Paris Landmarks package to work with the recent World Update, I thought I'd go check it out. As usual for me, this is with photogrammetry OFF, all 4k, all settings ultra plus LOD 350. It was a rainy day, and we start approaching the Defense buildings from the south-east Some nice detailing on some of these models Don't know what this building is actually used for, but I seem to remember it was used as a police HQ in the last series of "Spiral" ("Engrenages") Heading out to LFPG, over the National Stadium Approaching (the default) LFPG I t…

The trip goes from Chiang Rai, Thailand to Luang Phabang, Laos. There isn’t too much scenery and airport enhancement available for this part of the world, so what you see is vanilla MSFS, which is quite good actually. The plane I use could be found some twenty years ago in most of Asia and its many rural airstrips, as it was known for its ruggedness and reliability. It is the Let 410. I can’t remember how often I have flown in it and in all those years, there was never ever a technical breakdown. This Let410 is a freeware plane for FSX, which I have ported to MSFS. The panel I took from the Razbam Fairchild Metroliner. As always, my conversions are for my personal u…
