The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Just what it says, a few shots around Beijing with the AviaJam landmarks addon (and Bijan's Seasons packs). Out from ZBAA, and heading pretty much due west planning to come down to the city centre from the north. Pretty much just following the clusters of PoI popups. I had turned them off initially when the sim came out but then discovered the Mugz mods to enable me to turn them on/off wih a keypress in flight. Now I fly, stay in the cockpit and use the POI markers to cruise around, record the flight and then go back on the replay to explore with the drone, take screenshots etc without the markers showing. It's turned in to a great little system for what I want to do…

A quick tour around Bangkok. AviaJam Bangkok landmarks, freeware VTBS, built-in VTBD. Not as immersive as some of these places in the sim, but pretty good and worth a visit. Down to the coastal shore, along to the mouth of the Chao Phraya River, then up into the city itself What is it with architects these days? They all seem to be obsessed with making willfully weird tall buildings. OK, it might be a challenge to build, but it's also a challenge to look at.

So, following my previous visit ( https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/600032-visiting-the-china-zun-in-the-h135/ ) here's my attempt in the FlyInside Bell 47. Same exercise, and similar results - several attempts with the falling backwards thing going on, no actual crashes though. Bell settings for me are Medium but with engine damage turned off. If I ever manage to land properly with those settings then I'll consider moving up a level. Personally, I'm not interested in emulating every last bit of functionality flying the thing, I just want to be able to do my MSFS tourist bit in a helicopter that will let me take off and land where I want in amongst the scenery. I love th…

Still trying to get a copter to land anywhere near where I'm aiming. I obviously haven't got the right feel for it yet. I can get into a reasonable approach position maybe 30% of the time, and get in to a reasonable hover about the same ratio, but what usually happens next is that as I lower the collective/throttle I end up reversing away quite rapidly, even if I've got the nose pointing down a bit. Plenty more practice needed, but hopefully it'll come in time. I'm already beginning to be able to "feel" myself into the air for lift off a lot of the time (not always, by any means) and I guess eventually the same will be true for landings. Some of the Youtube videos make it…

The set contains all the necessary textures of cumulus, layered and cirrus clouds. Download can be on the site. Cumulus and cirrus set #2 at 1024 x 1024px and 512x512px. The order of installation is in a text file. Special thanks to Yuri (aka KNOSSOS). I wish everyone a great flight!
