The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

We take off from Decimomannu, training ground for some NATO air forces. The forces that push you into your Martin Baker seat are most impressive A friend of mine, who flew the single-seat F104G, once told me that it took him with full afterburners engaged just 1 minute and 28 seconds to reach 30000 ft Let’s bring her up to 45000 ft Flying high above Monte Carlo If you would tell me that this picture is real, I would believe you Dead ahead is the Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) Above Bolzano …

I love these late Fall chilly mornings... the air smooth and the sun is shining. I started in South St Paul MN (KSGS) and head down the Mighty Mississippi to Red Wing (KRGK). I've got the artsy fartsy DoF mode going too haha Plane is the A1R Ryan STA - I highly recommend it - it's actually fairly quick in cruise, near 120 mph https://www.justflight.com/product/a1r-ryan-st-a-special (Also at Simmarket) morning by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Leaving SGS on the downwind headed SE morning2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr morning4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Passing Wipaire's float production facility on the river....Wipline (09Y) …

I'm thinking there is one more thing I have to do to finish this Norwegian livery....but the excessive virtual paint fumes are making it hard to focus....can anyone help a slightly high intoxicated painter figure it out? 🥴

My compilation, here, of the three entities: Trans-Canada Air Lines Canadair North Star Jackson Hole Airport is a result of my (combined) long-held curiosities about (1) one of the oldest Canadian Airlines (though CP Air still remains my favorite (classic) Canadian Airline) (2) the modified variant of the (trend-setter) Douglas DC-4 known as North Star, and (3) a unique Rocky Mountain Airport, Jacson Hole (KJAC). TCA (Trans-Canada Air Lines) is, indeed, one of the oldest airlines founded in Canada...and, most importantly, was the predecessor of "Air Canada" that's so well-known to us today (TCA was renamed "Air Canada", after nearly two decades …

A scenic flight above the canyons (inspired by olderndirt) I am using HD Mesh, MisterX textures and the freeware Enhanced Cloudscapes. I enjoyed the scenery very much, it has been a little over 10 years since I visited this region IRL.

When PBR 1st came on the scene in the P3D world, painters scrambled to figure out how to use this new tech to it's best advantage. PBR in the graphics world is "Physics-Based Rendering" for the uninitiated to the subject, and has since allowed your flightsim painter's to do things like this.... This particular South African airline polishes its engine's leading edges to a mirror finish. Note how the leading edges of the wing are matted by contrast. PBR makes this possible...and seeing the sun glint off that metal when the plane is in motion is a sight to behold. 🙂 Before I broke out my virtual buffer and can of Brasso® ...both engine leading edges looked…

I cross dangerous borders again, but my trusted Indian co will keep me out of harms way. Skardu (which I have unfortunately failed to visit during my 12 months stay in Lahore, Pakistan) is a city located in Gilgit−Baltistan, Pakistan. Wikipedia says, it is situated at an elevation of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet) in the Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers. The city is an important gateway to the eight-thousanders of the nearby Karakoram mountain range. The Indus River running through the region separates the Karakoram from the Himalayas. Skardu is a fairly peaceful city with wonderful surroundings; yet, when you look at the map, it is …

[Note: This is one of my ambitious posts, that I've been meaning to do for a while. If interested, please read the text, or jump to the B737-200 images below...] I have been lately reading about the "proprietary" and "un-published" (but "approved") IFR approaches developed by certain airlines, exclusively for their own use. For example, Alaska Airlines has pioneered many RNP approaches into its regional airports, been forced to do so, due to inherent geographical terrains and weather factors that preclude normal IFR approaches into such airports and runways. I also recall now, from years ago, reading, in the Airways magazine, interesting accounts of the (first ever) …
