Hi everyone,I was drop by Dassault offical website and see their 3D pictures. I request a silly glasses from them and I got it today. The 3D image is much better than the normal red/blue glasses. It is produced by ColorCode3D.I am not familar with the 3D visual technology. I recall that I watch a 3D movie in Disneyland looooooooong time ago. Seems cast by Michael Jackson. I can't remember well as I was 9 years old by that time. That's the best 3D I have ever seen up to this moment. I remember that the image/thing is really like moving in front of me. I even silly to avoid a bullet coming to me!. I have no idea of what 3D technology is it.(Polarized 3D may be??). The glass…

Hiya, well I've got the display board flashed and it seems ok, I've flashed it as cid 2.When I fire it up it looks like the following ___ / ___/ / //__/on all the displays - except the 3rd one - which is happily got the . as well.Running the display test I get flicking of the same pattern. When FSBUS is turned offChecking pin 9 and it connects with PIC pin 12 - and it checks out fine (which is the missing segment)pin 10 goes to pic pin 13 - and checks out fineI'm at a complete loss as to why, my eyes are all squinty

As I'm veterinary and not mathematician or computer engineer I've problems with the type of variable.By FSBUS or FSUIPC FSinterrogate, the variables have different formats who have different names depend of the software.Could someone give me some explanations ... Thank'sfor example:word, long word, dword, byte, bit, small, small int, double, float, bollean, string, I8,I16, I32, I64, 8 bit signed, 1 bit unsigned, short int, long int,float64, coordinate, BCD, long double, stringvalue .... and maybe others ... :-hmmm BOB

Hello everybody, work is progressing on my initial stage of my small cockpit setup. I have finished my MCP (hopefully I will be able to post some pics once I get my hands on a digital camera), and I'm almost finished my pedestal's radios panel. However, I noticed some strange behaviour of FSBUS I haven't noticed before. If I turn the MCP on, start FSBUS (but NOT FS), and leave it alone, the displays on the MCP start to change over time like getting erroneous input from the rotaries. This happens in random times. Sometimes after 5mins, other after 20mins...I have the following setup :a. FSCOM3 on a separate box along with the PSU providing 9V to the COM3 and 5V to my red…

Beta Innovation from Leo Lacava is looking into the posibility of wiring LCD's to a 128 output version of his ElectronFlux - USB Module.I'd like to know how many people would be interested.Keeping in mind that character size of those LCD's is smaler than the usual 7-segment displays (which is in fact more realistic for most planes). Wiring these LCD's is very simple. Just solder a 14 pin male connector to the LCD and then you're ok with flatcables. Another advantage might be that it can show many other characters than a 7-segment. And not least imporant: for $ 9,95 you have one 8*2 display which is enough for your NAV radio (both active & standby freq.) Dito for …

Since here and in other Forums lots of recurring FSBus questions get asked again and again, how about creating a FAQ in the Simbuilders Wiki?http://wiki.varxec.netI'm not a FSBus user, the idea of a FSBus FAQ just occurred to me...Manuel

Just thinking at the moment. Do you guys think that it is possible to replicate a classic cockpit such as a 747-200? I know many people choose glass cockpits because it's easier to use PC screens and software such as PS1. But hooking up mechanical guages? I guess the most difficult part would be finding the components. My thoughts are that wih so many classics being scrapped it can only get easier...But what would be the implications? I know that you would have to start with a 400Hz power supply. How would you hook analog guages to a PC and what would drive them? Would you have to have some intermediary program that took data from a sim, and then converted it into a mech…

What's your experience about wiring 7-segments Display ?I've FSBUS and have to wire the 5 7-segment. Joining the different segment together to the cable. That's quite difficult. The easiest way would be to make own PCB ...But I've tried with special vero-wire with the isolate who get wawy by about 400

Hi everybody,I lurked on this forum for quite a long time but I decided to at last to pop in.I am from France (Toulouse area where Airbuses are proudly builted) and I am working on a ...A320 cockpit with a FSBUS system.I have now a rather good knowledge of the 320 family so if I may help...See you, altack

I am new to cockpit building and decided to start with a throttle quad. I am engineering the trim assembly currently. I intend for the trim wheels to be able to adjust trim and to move when electic or autopilot trim inputs are generated. Manual and electric seem straight forward but it is the autopilot I am at a complete loss about. Can I get an autopilot trim comand out of FS9? Does anyone know how many revolutions of the trim wheel per trim unit. Also if anyone has dimensions of the throttle quad they would like to share I would be very thankful. Scaling off photos is not my first choice.I am sure I will be a pest with questions and hope not to take unwanted advantage of…

Hi - I'm considering a fresnel solution since it may be much less expensive than projectors...I've seen the mulit-billion dollar version from Bugeye ;) which looks great but I can't afford it.Also, of course, I could begin with one, and add on.I've looked around online and seen everything from cheap ones that guarantee 50 gazillion times increase, and expensive ones that are 1.1x multipliers. I have no idea what to look for in terms of quality, and, more importantly, what to look for in terms of usability!Anyone use these things?Obviously I'd like a huge display ;)Thanks,Andrew

Greetings all,Well, I've been lurking here for a while, and finally have a question that a search hasn't been able to answer.I have a small touchscreen lcd display that I'm going to present the fs2004 GPS500 on. Touching the displayed buttons works great, but I want to use rotaries for the knobs. Have Leo's great plasma v2 board for an interface. The question I have is this - On a real GPS500, do the knobs actually turn 360 degrees? Or does one (or both) just turn slightly to the left or right and spring load back to the middle - more like a switch? Thanks,

Hi all...a quick question I have been debating on the interface card route to go - FSBUS vs IOCARDS vs Simkits. I also have reciently bought Mike Powell's book on building instruments which has me wanting to tinker. Here's my question...assuming nothing else on the FSBUS except motor / servo controllers, how many instruments can one control? I'd like to make a replica of a BELL 206B and have figured on 12 servos and 8 steppers. Can FSBUS do this? What are the max of controllers? Thanks!!PS. Here's my setup so far...http://mywebpages.comcast.net/nmkimzey/sim/index.htmThanks again!- Mike

Hi all, well I've built a 6 switch 2 toggle system (to play around with) and thought I would try and set these up with the pmdg.I got the buttons working on the defaults, but how do I program CTRL-G to a toggle for the fd on the pmdg models?I did a quick search and saw a system, but didn't know all the commands. As a side issue, I have a 12 rotary switch but it doesn't go continually round and round - it's got 12 positions and that's it.I removed the hold position ring but it still won't go around, have I bought the wrong kind? Or do you need to break into the rotary even more?

Hi Guys,I succeeded in using the keyboard emulating command with FSBUS and I would like to know where can I find the exact list of all the keys emulated.as a matter of fact I would like to use the "Win" key and I tried without success "VK_WIN" whereas Shift or Control are OK.Thanks for your help, altack

Ok, I've built the next board - well one of the displays.The only plan I can find for the actual 7 segment display goes to only 8 pins, when on the pictures they're 16pins.Looking at http://mikkila.wabbits.org/fsbus/doc/layout_e.php there are no pictures of the small board that connects the 88888 part.The display cathodes I have are 2x5Pin Polarity Segment ID1 A E2 A D3 C Common4 A C5 A DP6 A B7 A A8 C Common9 A F10 A G

Hi AllThought you might like to see how I converted my home made rudder pedals designed by Rob Barendregt to suit my 767 project. The pedals were made from scrap ply, mdf and a broken axe handle suitably grooved for the foot rails. I then painted them with silver auto laquer, top coated with Boeing brown and then rubbed back to the silver in wear areas. I was pleased with result which looks even better in the real than in photos.

Hello to all.I'm experiencing a strange problem with my FSKEY and FSCOM. All the setup was working very nice. After making some minor changes in the PSU unit and cabling, FSCOM can't accept any input from any of my 3 FSKEY cards. It can control any FSDISPLAY the FSLED or programming (read/erase/write) all my FSBUS PCBs but can't accept any input from the FSKEY circuits. All cables are tested. The setup worked great before with the same set of cables. Normal/Programming Jumpers also. Voltage in PICs are OK. I have Reset the FSCOM with no results. Like "someone" has closed the input from the FSKEY to FSCOM. It can't be a fault of the FSKEY as I can't read from any of 3Maybe …
