Hey,As a newbie, I'm looking at this software as an alternative to PM. Anybody know how well it hooks into a cockpit? Does it hook into FS2004 for visuals well? Is it much harder to complete a cockpit around this than PM? I assume its a more complete package. The only problem is that the 747 cockpit is very big to build.Alan

My control loading on pitch using a windscreen wiper motor is going to be a work in progress.I give you some first impressions (without the servo electronics on its way from Australia):Great feeling already without power. Counter acting on the reduction gear gives already a good feeling. An other good news is that the reduction gear can take the pressure on the column. Adding power it comes to be very impressive. There is an heavy torque one can counter by hand, not really effortlessly, as it is in a real plane.Other good news is that the motor seems to be resistant when countering. It does not heat to much. While building it up I had a tought for Airbus builders and must…

Next October 22nd, 23rd and 24th, the spanish homecockpit builders group are going to celebrate the 3rd yearly meeting. This time it will take place in Sevilla. It was two years ago when we celebrated our first meeting. It took place in Casarrubios airfield (Madrid). The second took place in Barcelona and this year it will take place in Sevilla. In these meetings, our members explain and show the last developments made by themselves, the last versions of the software, etc.In addition to the meeting, we are arranging some interesting visits, like the ones to the EADS-CASA factory in Sevilla (where de CN-235 is built), to the AENA

Hi, I'm a newbie with PMDG 737 and I am interested in switching to PM due to its full screen instruments, etc.I am wondering, given the great autopilot functions and realism in PMDG (autoland accuracy), how does the autopilot systems compare to PM?Which is better featured and is most realistic? Does PM do a good autloand like PMDG?I heard that PM uses default autopilot, so is that a downgrade from the PMDG custom autopilot?ThxAlan

I have made a flap switch using 2 microswitches. If you move the lever up, it presses one and if you move the lever down, it depresses the other one.I am using FSBus and have these two switches connected to FSKey.How do I get stages of flap (F6 F7) using this setup. At the moment I only have full flap up or down.I have tried the Keyboard/Mouse object to emulate F6 and F7 keypresses with no luck.Is it also possible to get proportional flaps ie: the longer you hold the lever down, the further the flaps move until you release the lever? One last question, when you set the destination in FSBus router, what is the difference between : Flaps and Flaps(+)Thanks for your h…

HelloTime to get out from closet...As i have posted few pic of my gear and throttle projects. And i saw that they got quite nice respond on this forum. So now we go for little bigger. There is four of us. Project is to build full size 757 cockpit. There almost nothing to see. Except visuals. We got them on place and tested them today. So there is no simply monitors or video projector or nothing like that as visuals, but... Well look from link at end of this post.I know. It looks like nothing is done yet. But still it is fully flyable with mouse, keyboard and CH-yoke. Next steps will be walls, roof and of course panels. And some other minor things. Because two of us has fam…

My sim room gets a little warm with everything running and a few people in it. I would like to add the realistic round vents seen in aircraft to the cockpit. Anyone have any tips for an electric fan that could be connected to the vents via plastic hose? I can visualize what I want but can't think of where I might find it. Thanks!David

I didn't see any place else to post this query so I thought I would try this forum. I just upgraded to the new USB Flight Yoke and Rudder Pedals from CH Products. I really like the new yoke. However, this is my first experience with rudder pedals. They seem very sensitive as I over steer on the ground and in the air. Is there any way to reduce the sensitivity. Can you modify the MDL or air files to reduce sensitivity?I am running FS9 in Windows XP.Thanks,Vic

Hi all...does anyone know if FSBUS has been updated to allow the use of pots for trim on FSAD...I had wired mine up about 4 months ago but the problem is that when I turned trim wheel one way or another the trim on the plane only went on way...Any thoughts or help much appreciated ? Many thanks...JB

Of course Im still in the planning stages, but I have been working on drawings for the floor plan of me 737NG flight deck. At this point, finances will determine the type of visual system. As I was figuring how to incorporate the visual system of 3 or 5 61" flat monitors, I realize that a 8 foot width may be 1-2 feet two narrow for the width of the enclosure. Any others here planning on a fully enclosed flight deck?Eric

Hi there,Is there somebody who can tell me how to make my own molded knobs, for my Boeing 737NG.I'm thinking about to use polyester resin and a hardener, so that I can mold my own knobs. I have one original knob that I'll use as example and make a print in clay or some thing similair.Any ideas?Kind regardsJan Geurtsen.

Hi everyone,I'm putting my dual joke assembly together for my 744 cockpit I want them to be driven by servos, for feedback from A/P. I know this should be possible and I have a few questions regarding it.-What type of software do I use for feedback from FS9?-Is there a certain type of motor I would use, or could I use any old electric motor? I have motors from an old reel-to-reel (tape machine) I would like to use.-If I use them, can I have external power (not powered by computer)? The motors I have a pretty strong, I think they would be great if I could use them.Anyone have knowledge about this to give me some feedback on my questions?Best regards,

Hi!Attached you will find some pictures of our selfmade hardware and screenshots of our selfmade software (work in progress). Both resemble the function of the real A320 as real as it gets. Comments welcome! :-)regards,Stephan ---------------------------------------------------------------------Do you know the A320 Flightdeck Project? With the release of the new 767 by LevelD (aka PIC Team) closing in like a TCAS target, and the upcomming DreamFleet 727, PMDG 744, CaptSim 757 etc, maybe now it's the best time for use small cockpit builders to put some pressure on the companies to support FSBUS, IOCards and the other freeware hardware components. It's so easy for them to do as to put a read/write to the default FS values...Most of them claim that we are only a few. They don't realize that the growth of small cockpit builders is rapid and more would follow if they could fly their favorite aircraft by their hardware!Just thinking out loud here.
