Hi allI throw this one in expecting to be howled down with laughter but here goes. Following the thread on "Our Cockpits" re obtaining and displaying switch status from PIC767 prior to release of version 2, I have wondered (late at night) whether it would be possible to have a screen for say the overhead panel situated outside the cockpit with an array of photosensors...one over each light. When the light illuminates on the screen(ie in the sim) the change in state is detected and an output to the relevant cockpit light generated.Programming gurus may be able to do this detection of colour change at a screen location independent of sim software???Desperate solutions for d…

That will read the airport data in FS2002 or 2004 as to runways, magnetic variation, etc. without FS running? The reason I ask is that when making a SID, STAR or Appoach for PIC mag variation is crucial for proper alignment. Unfortunately what FS uses isn't always real world correct.Just looking for a way not to have to start FS to get the information.

Not sure if PIC-KLM pilots are aware of this... Just found a nice repaint of the new KLM livery (by Tom Harlaar) for the PIC/POSKY 767-300ER.So easy to install... just replace the PIC/POSKY texture folder with the one from the ZIP.Nice paint job, landing lights also look better and the flight deck, seen from the outside, is much better looking.I also notice that the logo light is dimmed when the landing lights are off, unfortunately the logo light is also off when using the taxi light (as supplied with Randy's VFR panel). Does anyone know how to link the logo light also to the taxi lights???Download the repaint from here:http://www.tca.viscal.net/klm/hangar/hangar-boeing.…

HelloI am wondering what the G/A button at the bottom of the lower EICAS does. Does it possibly initiate a Go-Around?Just 1 more question...In FSUCIP, there is an option for thrust reversers in the joystick section. I asigned it to the right-most throttle control on my CH yoke. Idle is full foward, so I can pull back on it to reverse the engines on landing. I tried it with my PIC and it does nothing. What am I doing wrong or maybe that just doesn't work with PIC?Thanks in advance, pwapilot

Hello to all, I was checking out diagrams of the electrical system for the 767. I noticed on a secure aircraft all you need to do is to hit the Battery switch, Standby power, then APU etc. Correct me if I am wrong but this does not sound like a secure aircraft to me being because in single engine planes I fly we use a key for the ignition. I know there are no magnetos on a jet but would it be safer if there were a key inserted somewhere before you can turn on the battery? Lets face it what would keep a person from just getting on a jet and starting it up by hitting the battery switch and just continuing the flow. Thank you :-wave

An interesting development occurred tonight during my climb-out of KLAX on the VTU4 bound for San Franciskey (And, in this case: "Did you drive or did you flew?" , I flew (kind of)).Seems my fingers - before I could engage my brain - inadvertantly turned the CENTRE SELECTOR KNOB to ATT, thereby losing the IRU alignmnet on the centre, which then disengaged my A/P... which is fatal - cause I can't hand-fly the beast in the dark! Now, no matter how hard I tried, I was at a loss to maintain altitude, airspeed, all the while trying to restore attitude and heading. I was hopeless, and needed a co-pilot. MY one-year-old daughter was asleep at the time, and Rob Hall is 3000 km to…

Hi,I've noticed that if the autothrust switch is in the armed position during engine start, the engines go into reverse thrust as soon as they are started. I'm using PIC in FS2k2. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, is this how it would occur on the real aircraft, or just a PIC bug.PS I know that the autotrust should be disarmed for start...i noticed it accidentally one day

I know that most people are not bothered by this, but personally I do not get on with a landing panel, however skillfully made.I have problems with the sudden change of perspective.. (actually this is one of the reasons that I do not like the PMDG panels, it puts me all the time in a different position in front of the instruments). So when I use a landing panel, I somehow end up pitching up to much during final/flare.It took me a lot of experimenting before I found "panel.cfg" settings that give me a satisfactory vieuw on landing, using the normal panel (PIC/POSKY a/c). For anyone that has the same problem as I have and prefers to not use a landing panel, here are the sett…

Hi all!Sebastian and I have continued the FDE development from v2.0 to v3.0 with great success. We have captured many many small aspects of 757 flight into the FDE now, and everything seems to be pretty spot on now, as far as we & our manuals/perf data are concerned :).However, at this point we want to make sure that every "bug" or weirdness in the FDE gets eliminated before distributing the NEXT version 3.0 FDE. We will distribute this version via a separate Web-page hosted by Simradar. Therefore, we are searching for BETA team members to assist us in the development of the FDE of the most beautiful airliner in the world. NOTE that the FDE is for FS2002 only. Once PIC…
