Hi all,I don't know whether this is a taboo subject or not but I am thinking of purchasing the PMDG 737 NG product. I love 767 PIC and think that it would be almost impossible to top but if there is anyone out there who uses both, is the 737 good to have as well?I have used the 767 PIC and 744 Precsion Simulator so I want a serious sim not an entertainment package.Any thoughts on the pros and cons would be greatly appreciated.767 PIC is the best but is the 737 Ng sim in the same league in terms of realism??I hope that your landings = your take-offs!!AL

Hi AllThought I would share my initial multi monitor setup in my 767 Sim with you. For those who haven't tried multi monitors for PIC I strongly suggest you do....I'm now wishing I'd have done this many flights ago!! My setup still has a long way to go but at least I can now fly my sim after starting construction last November. Two configurations are shown.

Using the merge for a long time for the Posky 767-300/Pic, I have had problems intermitently with losing radios when going through my pre-flight routines. This is the scenario (and it only happens 50% of the time on some flights - but will always happen on certain saved flights):If.... I set my radios on the radio panel before switching my overhead panel to all the proper settings, my radios (atc & rmi pointers) will become stagnant, meaning no chatter or directional signals on the rmi pointers. If I know this is a saved flight where I know this happens, I can start my overhead panel routine first, then set all my radios, and sometimes this will stop the problem. To …

PIC-IFDG merge (made in a similar fashion as PIC-POSKY, ie. PIC airfile and a combined aircraft.cfg) - yesterday I took it for a spin (not literally though) with ZFW = 245,000 lbs and FOB = 29,000 lbs (short hop). After crossing 10,000 feet and dropping the nose down to reach 300 KIAS, the rate of climb would not exceed 500 fpm. Obviously, I did not reach the CRZ ALT before T/D. Now, I know that 767 is a flying brick, but 500 fpm sounds little exaggerated doesn't it. Any suggestions ?AdamKLOU / KSDF

I have recently downloaded the excellent IFDG B767 and B757, I thought the POSKY Models were good, but these are even better!The wing views from the cockpit are fantastic complete with strobes flashing!HAving done the merge, has anyone found a way of reducing the brightness of the landing lights. Someone was kind enough on the POSKY models to fit a dimmer switch on the landing view.Best Wishes,ChrisEGBB

I have just downloaded the superb IFDG BA B767 which is fantastic !However just a couple of questions:1) is there a merge file needed like the POSKY Merge?2) is there any way to modify the lights at night like we can on the POSKY B767 and turn them down for taxying?Best Wishes,Chris

I had succesfully used FS9 with SBRelay1.2 ...then for unknown reasons, I now get an error message when I try to execute SBRely1.2..."failed to create empty document"Please tell me I am not the only person in the world to have this problem...I have done a search and come up with nothing on AVSIM.Thanks,Rob.Win98SE

Is it possible to add Wing Views to the PIC B767 Posky A/C so when you look far left / right you can see the wing and the strobe lights?I seem to remember it was possible in FS2000, and it looked superb, I think you had to decrease the zoom to 50%. I have tried this in FS2002 and all you can see are th strobes. Looking at the PMDG B737, I notice that they have managed to do it. Best Wishes to all,ChrisEGBB

I'd just like to publically thank Tero for designing a great FDE for PIC which makes the fantastic Posky 757 flyable with the greatest panel and aircraft product ever built!The 767 is good, but no other Boeing looks as stylish as a 75.Great work Tero!!

Has anyone got the merge file for the IFDG 767 and PIC?I tried downloading it from the Flying Club but the Link was down.Is it easy to install? And does it run good?

I've got a chance to fly the real 767-400 level D in the coming months and was wandering what percentage of realism there is in the current PIC767-300 series? I think I've read posts from real 67 pilots that it was somewhere around 90% but just wanted to get a little more info on the subject. I really wish that the PIC Ver 2 would magically appear on my screen within the next month.. For those of you that have flown the 767-300 level D sim, what technique did you use? The questions that I have are as follows and pertain to takeoff practice:1. What was your Gross Take-off Weight? Would you fill the left and right tanks to say 80 percent each with the center dry to give you a gross take-off wgt of approx. 309M LBs. I find that the lighter the aircraft is, it's much harder to manage a decent takeoff profile holding the V2+15, V2+25 requirements before accel.height on the ASI..2. I should have further elaborated and stated that my choices for the real sim are the 737 NG, 767-300 or 747-400. I can choose anyone of these. I guess what I'm really interested in right now is what existing software today is available that would best benefit me to make the right choice so I have as much background as possible before entering the real level D sim..Anybody care to comment given the existing software.....I own the PMDG737NG 600/700, PS1.3a and obviously the existing PIC767.Regards & looking forward to some advise and/or opinions..Jack

Hey everybody, I recently downloaded the Free Pic Editor... I figured out how to make my own STAR/SID/Approach files.... but first of all, for the latest version that I download, 2.3 I think, when I search the database for Navaids or waypoints... it doesn't search at all, the little searching... message doesn't even pop up.... but when I download the main version and try to save a procedure it gives me a message saying.. Cant Find PIC files or something and it quits out of the editor, I was wondering if anyone new how to fix this or where I could get an un-faulty version, as I would love to be able to just make my own procedures instead of having to hunt them down all…
