On page one of the Take-Off data page, there is an entry for the runway number and ft. ___/___ft. Ihave always entered elevation level here, is this correct? Also, I have always wondered why I can only enter runway numbers with an L, C, or R after the number to get it to hold my "ft." parameter. It wont let me enter the elevation with a runway that is only 27 for instance. It only works with a 27R, 27L etc. Can somebody explain if I am entering these fields correctly? Thanks to all,Neil:)

I was very happily surprised a few days ago, to be invited to participate in the Charityflight event for this weekend.Just like Rich, above, I had the opportunity to fly the LSD 767. I flew the Maniula to Seoul leg.My first thought, is to tell all the folks that are impatiently waiting for this product that, that as with several others that are taking their time to be released, this one will also be worth the wait.I was very impressed with the panels. They are obviously very familiar, because they are, after all, those of a 767. However, even in the small 17inch monitor, the colors very bright, the gauges clear and the new options for the V/C. I am sure that the V/C will …

Hello All,I believe I read somewhere that if you have to fly overhead a waypoint in a SID/STAR that it's "hard programmed" into the FMC database; does the same go for DME arcs? Also, could someone tell me if the LDS 767 has the ability to show such geometry? I know it's never been done in FS, so far. :-)Cheers,PaulP.S. Has anyone got a photo of an ND showing a DME Arc or "fly overhead" waypoint? I'd like to see it, (maybe a screenshot of the LDS 767 perhaps.) ;-) Thanks

Well, I borrowed the office's projection monitor. It's one of those things you hook up the the video output and project the picture on a screen. Well our beloved PIC looked just like real when you make the picture 4 feet wide and 4 feet high. I sat about 5 feet from the screen. Looked just like real. AMAZING. At about 2 grand they are nice. Well I gotta get a new computer 1st. This 600 mega hertz processor just can't do it no more. Moving up to a 3 gig processor,$400 video card with 256 megs ram, and 1 gig on board, 1 - 19 inch monitor and 2 - 17 inch ones on either side. That will be neat.JimCYWG

When I spoke with the Flight 1 staff at the AVSIM conference in Denver, they expressed interest in having the new 767 compatible with the Aerosoft Australia MCP so I contacted Andrew in Australia to see what it would take. Here is what he said:"I assume they have the source code to the PIC.DLL interface that Laurent Crenier wrote. If they have that, and they incorporate that into the new 767 then the MCP will work instantly. It was a very neat, clean interface. He did a good job."Si it doesn't sound very hard to make it happen.Wade and Laurent -- please!!!Rob G

Just posting to let you know that I have had the opportunity to fly the LDS 767 at Charityflight in Toronto. It is simply amazing. The new textures are fantastic and the panels are crisp. The outside of the aircraft is ver well done and it is my opinion that in many of the views it could have very well passed for real world shots! and there are many added features that make it as close to the real aircraft as possible. I think that the next best thing would be a Level D full motion simulator! My advice is that as soon as it is released buy it! Also, I have no idea when it will be released.

An investigation is under way after two passenger planes collided while taxiing at Manchester Airport. The BMI Baby Boeing 737 travelling to Belfast International and an Excel Airways Boeing 767 travelling to Goa touched wings outside Terminal Two. Seventy-nine passengers were on board the BMI Baby plane while 255 were on the Excel Airways plane, though no-one is thought to have been injured. Air accident investigators were at the scene on Thursday afternoon. 'Wings clipped' A Greater Manchester Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received reports that there had been a minor collision between two planes on the runway. "We believe that the wings of the two planes may hav…

Hello All,Just quick suggestions, could we have realistic joystick assignments? For example an autopilot disconnect switch that we can assign to a joystick button (that acts like in real life.)?i.e. the ability to cancel warnings by pressing the button twice? Same goes for the auto throttle disconnect switches on the throttle. PMDG unfortunately only programmed the MCP buttons and not the joystick/throttle buttons which is a little let down as the rest of the product is just stunning!Best Regards,Paul

(In keeping with the theme of silly "when will it be out" posts...)Just dawned on me what Wade and his crew are up to. All he is doing is getting that "real" feeling of having a broken plane parked at the gate and a few hundred pax milling about and asking him "When will the plane be fixed".Somehow I know in his mind he is standing at the podium looking at each inquiry from business travellers who think they know how to run an airline and how to "fix" it.Rumor has it (Ok, I just created this rumor) that A&E "Airline" show will feature this in an upcoming episode. It will be a half-hour of Wade and crew reading silly emails about "when will it be ready". (Actually i…

When may we have a chance to get a 767PIC updated for FS2004 (whatever it might be: all brain new product OR a patch to update the F2002 version...) ?

Is there any chance that PIC team can release a model that just has a 2D Panel and Side Views with no VC or Wing Views as well as the three model types already announced - (2D + Wing Views / 2D + VC / 2D + VC + Wing Views)? When will we find out what liveries will be done? Thanks in advance!:-beerchug

I believe the sim - 2002 - has 61500lb per engine thrust. Yet according to my book of commercial a/c, the 300ER hasn't anymore then 48,000 - 50,000lb engines. It always seems to have too much power on take-off. Trying to hold V2+15-20 requires a 20 degree nose-up at LEAST and even then it continues straight through. Seems kinda excessive.Of course I've never flown a real 767 and I doubt any airline would give me the chance so I can see how reaslistic it is. Shame.....

I am finding Ponderosa many times days ago. I am thinking that funny reproduction of old messages is not.Fredp.s. Why Mormons are making 767s now?;-)

LDS Development Team:Hope you already thought of this, but if not, please consider as an update, post-release:Since airlines tend have have differnt policies for setting t/o and appr/landing speed bugs, it would be a nice touch if the 'one-click' speed bug settings were configurable.Thanks.-michael

Just one question about the upcoming V2: will there be photorealistic sideviews when the 2D panel is used? Is it possible to take the photos in a in-flight status (with regard to selected IAS/Mach on the MCP or switch positions on the overhead?)Will there be passengers in the cabine :-) or will we look at a closed cockpit door in those silly past 9/11 times :-(Andreas HermesEDDH
