Did anyone lately play again with this? Meaning the stepped (jagged?) edges of needles, fonts and markings on gauges. As the years go by it seems to me my eyes are in demand for improved smoothness. It's as if I see only the low res effects more and more. :-(Pieter

Hi, I am using Win Xp and have an Nvidia fx5200 graphics card.The game will not install .I have the FU3 patch version 1.0.0.1 but it does not link to the game as it is not installed.Do you have a link for the nvidia patch ?Please can you offer any advice .Thanks.Regards,Atkin

HiI am having problems running FUIII, has anyone else come across the same problem. I have just installed WinXP and am using a Matrox Marvel G450 eTV card. Flight Unlimited III has worked ok for years on Win98, but for some reason now, after install I go to start the game and all I get is a black screen with the cursor displayed as an egg timer.I understand there is a patch for the Nvidia, but will it work with a matrox card, and if not, is there another way out of the problem.I have tried setting the compatibility mode to all settings and changing the resolution etc but withoutluckHoping in anticipation

i'm a huge fan of fu3 and have played it on and off for years until one of my scenery disks was somehow scratched... disaster!when i heard sold out were re-releasing it i was simply over the moon.my new copy is now up and running on a new system and the results are spectacular. i've tried to get into fs9 many a time but would always give up after a couple of days. fu3 has that certain - je ne sais quoi - 'feel' about it, which the technically superior ms sims somehow lack. anyway, let's not get bogged down...i've got a couple of questions:fu3 is running perfectly (between 38 and 64 fps) on my new system with all the settings, filters, FSAA etc. maxed out but there is an a…

Hi!Everytime I cross a front with the Beechjet, the engines "die".I've turned "engine failures" off and Anti Ice is on, but the engines still turn off in heavy rain.This looks like a bug of FU3, is there a way to fix this?Regards,Harry

Does anyone here have any pictures or information regarding a radio tower in the Los Altos Hills, just south of Palo Alto, California ? I have a map that lists this as KPGM, but tracking down any photos or info of this on the internet is proving to be extremely difficult.Do any FU3 users live anywhere near that location ? Hi, I lurk here a lot but rarely post - until now.I have been semi-happily chugging along with FU3 installed on an old Celeron 300 system OC'd to 450, and a Voodoo III card.I just built a new system around an nVidia 6800 256 MB PCI-e card, and installed FU3. Everything seems to work fine (so far) with one big exception: every time I start up the game my resolution is set to 640x480 and no 3D acceleration. I can reset the resolution and accel on in the Options menu; I can edit the fu3.cfg file to set opt_3dhw_last_hw 1, opt_hw_acceleration 1 and opt_video_resolution 4; but if I exit and re-enter the game I am back to a low-resolution, non-accelerated video profile. Chris,I removed you post on the "Find FU#" thread. As you know I don't feel that opinion posts belong in a pinned thread.I would suggest that you should put another post on that thread. Something like "You can get FU3 & FU2 from Sold-Out...". Inside you can spell out the details of what it is and the link to where it can be found. That way it will also be automatically pinned. It requires you to delete the existing ones so you need the 'IWorkHere' line in your cfg file.
