The Flight Unlimited Series

Purchased this software (Flight Unlimited III) for my daughter and we can't seem to get through a full install. Even the typical install is frustrating. When it asks for the 2nd cd, I get several errors telling me that it is the wrong one. The installer also detects Windows 2000, of which we don not have installed. After several tries, it works, but then we can seem to install San Fransisco, etc. As far as I know, this is a full version. Iknow it's not a bundled one. We end up cancelling the install each time. Is there a trick to installing this? Does a Full Install mean no cd is required for flight? What is a Typcial Install? Has anyone else had problems insta…

It might be Christmas, but that doesn't stop me from carrying on with the tweaks and upgrades in Flight Unlimited 3. Here are three screenshots of an upgraded version of Davis Woodland Winters that I managed to whip up on Christmas Eve :-)Chris Low.

Seeing as I have a nice new system AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with 1gb of RAM, 200gb hard disk and a 256mb ATI Radeon i700 PCIE video card I have reloaded my FS2004 and have been doing a few comparisons of FU3UKS to the same Southend area in FS2004. Probably not a fair comparison as FU3UKS should be more comparable to UK VFR. However, I have a few screen shots and the lighter ones with the Beech 1500D are FS2004. For my money, I think FU3UKS is better except for the water which is not very good in my opinion.

I have just uploaded an update pack for SanFran 2006 to the FU3 file library. It should be available to download very soon.This pack (SanFran 2006 Plus) includes five new scenery packages, plus tweaks and modifications to fourteen existing scenery packages. i have just installed the high res switzerland files into my FU3 directory and have notivced the CDROM sections in the downloads and i am unsure where to put the CDROM folder, if someone could help it would be great

Hi Guys,I have been "around" and reading the forum a couple of times a week but I have been having even more health problems than usual and haven't been in a very communicative mood I'm afraid. Aside from just a few laps in NR03 I haven't run any sim in months.And Bob has been having many problems of his own since the death of his mom back in May so he has been pretty much "out of touch" as well.It is a good thing that this is a fairly self-sufficient bunch of guys. :)I found myself off work for well over 2 months in July, August, September, and a bit into October. I really must remember to include a note in the SanFran 2006 version 1.1 update pack about USING THE FORUM. I just can't understand why more FU3 users don't want to talk about their experiences, or post screenshots of stuff that they have seen (like close approaches with AI planes, beautiful sunrises, or even just glimpses of radio towers on isolated, wind swept hills).SanFran 2006 has been downloaded nearly three hundred times since it was released a couple of weeks ago. HI all ; I just spent the last weekend repairing the "inside rectangles"for all views that had lines running across the middle of instruments. Useing Cockpit designer ,not that hard to do . I added 4 to the number which seems good enough. Example ; if it was 799.350 I made it 799.354. I also made Port Angeles(Fairchild Intnl) an ILS 108.90 runway 08. Like it's supposed to be .Feels good to be messing with Fled again . CaptRolo

I've installed FU3I having a problem atm, when ever i fly i always vear right, and can only (using the keyboard) turn right or go straight.My rudder settings are probably messed up, but i can find on what of setting the rudder to my joysticks Z axis (you can only set up the turn and pitch in the controlls options).i have the same problem with my joysticks throttle control.Any idea how to fix this.

Hi folks, After a long absence from FU3 during which time a invested in a new machine I would like to get back to it and possibly get the Tigermoth out of the Hangar. However after installing FU3 with the patch I have problem with the F3 and F2 cockpit views. That is to say is progressively turns into a colouful soup. The through windscreen stays ok. It is probably a driver pb I have a Geforce 6200 with turbo cache. Any ideas ?In any case could someone send me a link to UKS.Thanks in advance,QvdG

I have just realised that installing Jon's new modelmip.tag files has lost me a couple of models that I used for some of my SanFran packages. These are that Toyota jeep type vehicle (red or blue colours), and also glidernut's hangar (the one with the open doors).Can someone e-mail me these models, or let me know where I can get them ? I will need the .bin and .mip files, and any night lighting extras.Cheers,Chris Low.PS. I have released an update for SanFran 2006 that includes the following:-NAPA VALLEY WATER TANK is an extra scenery package.OLYMPIA RADIO TOWER replaces SCOTTS VALLEY RADIO TOWER, which was released with the wrong radio tower model.PARADISE CAY was released with the wrong yacht club model. This has been corrected.YOUNTVILLE WATER TANK includes a water tank model that is sitting right on top of one of the SanFran region megatile boundaries. This resulted in the model being completely invisible when viewed from certain angles. This has now been corrected.These might only seem like minor issues, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist !Chris Low.

Can someone remind me how to install this fix please. No readme with the file and I have forgotten. It is a fix for London City Airport to stop planes sinking into the runway I think.
