No your vision isnt blurred!!!Combining another one of my interests (3D Photography)with my favourite sim, I loaded Nvidia's 61.77 drivers and 61.77 stereo drivers, put on my silly looking red and blue glasses and away I went.FU3 throws up a few funnies on some of the views and the framerate drops by 50%, but what the hell, those mountains sure have some depth to them.I have posted a few screenshots (sorry it also loses a bit of quality on the screenshots)flying around Half Moon Bay, so sit like a numpty (english slang) with your funny glasses (available from most good video rental stores) and add that extra dimension.Admittedly, the slow framerate and "eyestrain", not to…

Some time ago I mentioned that I had a slight problem with my standard FU3 installation. Every flight would start at San Jose and the plane would be a Piper, no matter where or what I'd been flying the last time. Well, the way the program exited was obviously to blame since the sim would CTD when exiting. Still, I could fly any aircraft out of any airport -- the CTD would only take place as I decided to close down.I found the reason. I'd been playing with Reiter's Baron. I liked the panel and decided to swap the aircraft model for Ansgar's new one. I also changed and edited some of the cockpit views. Everything looked honkey dory and it worked fine. Well, I just found tha…

Ok here are the "actual" colour 3D screenshots taken over North Wales.I have had to reduce the size and quality so I can download them, but I will put the full size / full resolution bmp files in the File library names as 3D Colour Wales. How come I never get the goodlooking co-pilot. :-)Andyhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95774.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95775.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95776.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95777.jpg

Its on a green back ground. So select all the green, then invert your selection and then copy and paste to your nav map.If you want it black; flood fill with black after inverting the selection.JimB

Air conditioning working overtime (!) http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94625.jpgOK where's that next cloud? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94627.jpgLining up another pass http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94628.jpgAnd for my next trick, bank right and look left :-lol http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94629.jpg:-wavePeteFootnote: The second picture is taken quite close to the spot where the tracks of all 3 recent hurricanes to hit central Florida (Charley,Frances and Jeanne) crossed, they don't show up too well in the photo but the trailer parks and 'pre-fab' homes in that area are absolutely devastated.

Sometimes the right way up,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94497.jpgSometimes nearly upside down,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94498.jpgand sometimes which way is up,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94495.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94496.jpgMy 'instructor' (in the rear seat) was Jon, once we'd got airborne from KISM (r/w 06, winds 040 at 14-24kts)and passed 1500ft Jon said those magic words "You have control". Initially turned west to fly parallel to US hwy 192,level at 2000ft, but as there was a fair amount of turbulence,Jon suggested we head s/w to clear airspace and climb above the clouds to have some fun, where there was less bumpy conditions.Climb…

Firstly, do not read the following message as it contains confidential information about NOT PUBLICLY RELEASED AIRCRAFT.IF YOU HAVE READ THIS FAR YOU HAVE READ TOO FAR, AND MUST IMMEDIATELY TAKE A SEVEN YEAR VOW OF SILENCE.Took off for a bit of a flight around Sandown last night (after a very savage and desperate fight with a rampant virus that had attacked my computer with a machete and cleaver) in a butcher bird. This is a very clever 'plane' developed by Jon, but never released on AVSIM. It was quite an experience - you drift along at about 14-25 knots, with this wonderful birds' eye view of the world around, occasionally flapping your wings (you can flap your wings, u…

Probably you know that with original FU3 you get one of this challenges with Beechjet involved (you are A Boeing Company pilot...). Anyway, at one point you have to land Beechjet at Crest Airpark airfield. Here is some data about that airport that I've collected from AirNav.com:Runway 15/33Dimensions: 3288 x 40 ft. / 1002 x 12 m Surface: asphalt, in good condition Weight limitations: Single wheel: 12000 lbs Runway edge lights: low intensity My question is: "Is it possible for real Beechjet to land there?" I know that when I'm landing there in FU3 I have to burn my rubber and breaks a lot to stop before funway overruning. I really can't imagine how would that landing …

QvdG asked if I could post a few more pics of his masterwork. Nothing happier! (since it gives me an excuse for showing off London again!):This is the normal forward view (F2 view) - very handy for taxiing! Also note Guy's Hospital dead ahead - also very handy for when I sightsee whilst flying.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/91918.jpgThis is a beautiful sight - a biplane over Buckingham Palace.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/91919.jpgYou'll never walk alone. Are you interested in making a joint package for Ulverston? It would work like this:You find a local airport (I assume there's one nearby) anbd get details. You make the package and supply me with some photos of the area.I make the models (I can help with the package too if you like but I'm happy just to make the models. Possibly we can ask agtim to do a more detailed terrain for the area.Short list of models required:Hoad monument.5 local buildings (typical houses).L&H museum.City centre.Town clock.Mill (?)Main street (shopping) and iron seats.War (?) memorial. What else? Give me photos and I can make the models. This might help get your interest back in FU3!I would love…
