    Strange happening !! I finally got to catch up on doing some flying ,as I was off work for thanksgiving week .First day fine, Flew all over Sanfran region . second day ,trying to take off in 172 cessna and seems like brakes were on , full power and only 40knts . tried another aircraft ,same thing.Went to control panel gaming options ,rudder was working half way and usb pedals axis only one pedal made a movement.A HA something is definately wrong. Uninstalled and reinstalled all necessary drivers ,same thing . Only one thing to do now .     AirportEditor.exe for FU3 Vers.1.2 is here ;-)Actually there is not a lot to edit, more to view but the edit function can move the full airport with all nodes and lines and lights at once to a new location referenced by the blue square UTM coordinates and height.     I thought I would reinstall those today and found that I got booted out of FUIII as soon as the map appeared. I know I followed the install instructions exactly and that everything was working fine beforehand so what was the trick to installing this please. I remember having difficulty last time I did it, but cannot remember the fix.

    Just for my own entertainment and comparisons I'm on tour in the Seattle area between the smaller airports with both FS9 en FU3. I fly to one airport first in FU then in FS. Needless to say that most smaller aiports such as Bandera State, etc. are almost invisible in FU! One has to criss-cross near ground level many times over most of them before one can barely see the dotted lines that may mark the runway. I tried Resviewer but could not really find the files that contain the textures of each airport so that one can adjust, as an e.g., the colours or whatever of the landing strips.I was just not in the mood to do screen captures to illustrate, but I think you will get th…

    Did you know that you can change the position and orientationof a modle when in the game? On the fly as it where!This is how, taxy up to a chosen model and togle the modelusing the upercace O key.Then go into Zoar Mode, "Ctrl + z" and you are now a model not a plane.Move your self, "the model" to a new position and orientation and cumout of Zoar Mode, "Ctrl + z" and then togle your self, the upercace I key.Thats it dun.Unfortunatly thees changes are not saved.Which is a pity bicous you can not tilt models like that useing fled.If only we knew how to save the changes?!?Any thorts?glidernut.

    I have not been around in FUIII for a since last year but I was stunned to see the screen shots of the UK scenery. I would love to get that scenery, how do I go about that please? I did get UK Mesh for FS2004 (Not my favourite sim) and I think that the FUIII looks much better. I have been mostly flying Fighter Ace and Forgotten Battles for the last 12 months so I have not kept up with developments. The efforts of the FUIII are much appreciated. :-)

    I was trying to do a short flight down to Bembridge. This is a beautiful plane (twin otter) but for a non-expert novice amateur beginner like me, I had some strange incidents and accidents (incident = walk away from, as distinct from accident = climb out of hole). For a start, it was pouring (heavy rain) at Gatwick, with a nice breeze at about 30 knots from the north - the runway at Gatwick unfortunately runs roughly east-west, so I thought this was not good.I taxiied out, using the throttle mainly - hardly had to touch the brakes, with the stall horn sounding every so often - i.e. gusts strong enough to lift a wing.     One thing that I'm now very sure about is that flight modelling of aircraft is much more joystick dependant than I realised!I've had this ol' MS sidewinder for quite some time. MSFS and FU3 were, hmm, always so-so... The digital stick is fairly sensitive and I always thought that X-Plane had the best "feel" to real aircraft control, of course minus the "real" vertigo input and response of control as experienced with real (smaller) aircraft. I've switched over to a (not so expensive) Wingman force feed back. It made a world of difference to either FS or Flight Unlimited! Crazy thing now, X-Plane models now (without the force feed back support) feel really bad. The joystick…

    Hi guys, I have two questions.1. Why does FUIII stutter/shudder badly when I land?All the aircraft do it and it's not a frame rate issue.As soon as the main wheels touch down it stutters but when I drop the nosewheel and it touches the ground the stuttering goes away and I can taxi just fine.It's very annoying and I've ripped two wings off the Stemme (against trees) as a result. :(2.     AgtimI can't believe it - I offered a package of oil refinery equipment, and agtim goes straight ahead in downloads with his museums and airports package. What thinking person could possibly prefer a museum about planes with visiting an oil refinery? I mean, if you're taking the kids on holidays, what do you think they will be more interested in seeing? Aeroplanes or oil spills? Chemical crackers of course!     Hi,-Using the latest version of USA Photo Mapper color images can be downloaded. To do this you want to be in View/Urban mode. Though the zoom range for the "urban" image range is 2 to .25 meter, the actual download detail is 1 meter. It's free-ware. http://jdmcox.com/-With the BigJpeg.exe tool, the downloaded images can be converted to Jpeg. Freeware -Using the ConvertSDTS.exe tool height data can be applied. Freeware. -The Redeye tool is used to further clarify the image.     A couple of days ago I flew from SFO to LAX in a Baron. I guess that flight took a couple of hours. The next day I flew from LAX to SAN.Since the original flight started in the SanFran region I got the SanFran map as the flights loaded. OK, I'm in the outer terrain but the sim still seems to be in SanFran mode? I decided to check this out. Tonight I flew direct from SAN to SFO. I chose the Beechjet to save time and went high to gain true speed. Since I've been unable to find true speed in FU3 I just assume that the sim takes this into account. Can anybody confirm this?     I downloaded HvR C182 from AVSIM Library. It's interesting that I can't land that aircraft in proper way. I found out it is very hard land with the main gear touching down first. Also when applying flaps C182 nose is going down and when landing at 55-65 kts perfect landing just can't be completed because at that speed nose hits the ground first. If I try to pitch the nose up the whole aircraft goes up and starts to climb. I've also tried original C182 from FU3 and the same thing happened there.     Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for adding beacons in FU3 ? I want to be able to add an ILS approach, plus all of the necessary beacons at Hamilton AFB, but I do not know how to do this.     I downloaded King Air 350 from AVSIM library and started flying around with it. In general data about this airplane it says that landing speed is about 115 kntots. When landing at that speed it's kind of hard to stop on the runway without using brekes since props do not have reversers on their engines. So I was wondering how do propeller aircrafts stop when landing? I've also found out that it's easy to stop with smaller props like Cessna, Renegade and Piper because they have smaller landing speed so I can use brekes. It seems a bit strange to use brakes when landing with King Air at 115 knots especially if runway is covered with snow, ice or rain.I wasn't really flying p…

    Using a new MoveTo function in FledViewer it was a quick job to transpond the full Duxford/Fowlmere scennery near to Travis airbase.From UTM 713510, 367739 23m megatile brawTo UTM 125000, 135350 45m megatile ahaiso resulting mod file must be renamed to m0ahai.mod Moving objects transponded into place with current version of MovObjViewer.
