In Switzerland with ROTW Europe textures.tony

Thank you ROTW for upgrading the Brittany TerraScene ground scenery. I truly enjoyed a flight from Paris to the Normandy and Brittany coast. However, I landed in Dinard and wished there were terminals, taxiways, etc.Thus, I'm requesting Dinard be populated with models. Anyone up for the task? And any other small regional airports in the area would also be appreciated. There's nothing like the combination of TerraModels and TerraScenes for making Fly!2 even more realistic.Thx.-DK----David KohlFly! Lost my HD - my Fly!2 is gone until a fix is performed:-(I borrowed a HD and needed my Fly! fix so I got out my Fly!2K CDs. Everything is working fine - in fact I downloaded the Staggerwing which I'd practically forgotten about , but, I digress - when I installed Sky!, the installation from the CD seems fine; but, the Mares option is the only one that works - all other options come up with an error dialog and Fly!2K doesn't start.Anyone have any ideas here?ThanksBen

Can anyone tell me where to find FLY EDit 1.06 for the original FLY? A search of the file section only shows up to version 1.05 - I need 1.06 to do Terrascene 2.1 and FLY2k. My Fly 2k only comes with the FLY edit 1.04.It says I need flyedit 1.06 or higher to use terrascene 2.1 with FLY 2k. Please help.

Hello all:Here's the deal. I've got this computer, see. And I'm running MSFS2002 and of course Fly!II (which I like best, I might add). Well, I've spent $70 on FS2002 (Pro Edition) and it ain't as good as Fly!II (Non-Pro Edition). I still run 2002 sometimes for kicks. I enjoy the scenery and ATC, but for "real intense" sim-flying its TR's Fly!II. If I unstall FS2002, which allows you to tweak the dickins out of most any aircraft, then I feel like I've wasted my money. So, I tweak...And I tweak...And I tweak some more. Buy a few add-ons. Explain to the wife. Convince myself it will "make it better" and tweak again. Download...Unzip...Run and Install. Tweak that …

Hi, I'm planning to upgrade from Windows ME to Windows XP, is it worth it? Does FLY2 or games in general performs better in XP? Paul van Roy, thank you for a beautiful scenery ! I started with the relative small europoort scenery to make a start and to test it on my puter and it runs great and is very well done. ROTW:I cannot repeat enough how much I appreciate the work you did on the Dinard and Avranches ground scenery. My wife spent summers in St. Cast from when she was 3 years-old through high school, and last night we had a wonderful time identifying landmarks in this Brittany coast town.For those in the forum who do not realize, the ROTW Dinard and Avranches scenery appear to be generated from actual photographs. I could be wrong, but my wife was able to point out the tennis club where she played tennis as a kid, and a church and central open plaza where she used to hang out in high school.I highly recommend those who know the northwest coast of France download the terrific …

Just going thru my huge inventory of flying sims and what have you and am wondering if anybody wants my copy of FLY and FLYII these things just sit on my shelf. I have the box and all. A little hobby of mine is to keep all the boxs, you never know I have other sim programs that just get caught up in the progress of advancement that sit there to. Hello all:Question...1. Is there some way to enable the use of the mouse wheel to work with the Cessna 172 panel in Fly!II? ...Instead of (or in addition to) right/left clicking the mouse I would like to use the mouse wheel in order to rotate the NAV instrument settings. Also...2. Can the speed of rotation, (when rotating the ADF card for instance), be increased? ...Some config file somewhere in Fly!II to tweak for this, and the former??? Thanks

Hey Fly people,My heading indicator never drifts at all. It is always right on with the mag compass. Does anyone else have this problem? I have never gotten in a real airplane and had the heading indicator correct without an adjustment. Is there a fix? Be cool if one of the awsome developers here could write a mod to: on startup, place the HI on a random heading, during flight have that bad boy drift a little....Just some thoughts.

I bought Fly! II some time ago but uninstalled it, I just now installed it because wanted more buttons to push. (Fly! has the best panels) but it seems like the whole sim moves in incredible slow motion, mainly the controls of the aircraft, the movement of the prop, and theres no sense of speed at all. Is there something wrong with it?

Hi,I have questions about Fly! II aircraft. What are the real equivalents to Fly! II aircraft? Is Flyhawk 172 the same as Cessna Skyhawk 172? Is Sahara Single the same as Piper Mirage? Is Hawaker 800TR the same as Hawaker 800XP? I do not know what is the real equivalent for Kodiak Twin. If yes, why does Fly! II use different names? Thank you very much.Regards,Eddy

Hello, it's me again...I have made taxiways for ETSA with the taxiwayeditor included in Fly2.It was an easy and save operation. All files are in the rightdirectory. But I can not see anything similar to taxiways when I'm standing at this airport. Hi,just downloaded force_fed.zip to activate force feedback for Fly II. When I unzipped the file there was only a "read me" file-no .dll file to install. Would anyone have this file or was it never included in the download? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks. Qdog

Thanks to an e-mail I received a few minutes ago I've been able to track down the source of that nasty missing file error. The Taxiway signs for the west side of 15-33 seem to have been left out of the pod process. To fix it just name any texture NYKZ0609.raw and make a second copy named DYKZ0609.raw. Now that I'm putting more time into Fly2 again I'm trying to get a new version out, hopefully it wont have the same issues the second time around :). A very large thanks to whoever it was that found the fix.
