    I'm probably stirring a hornet's nest here but...Has anyone else noticed that Microsoft put out the Traffic SDK just after Traffic Tools came out? And now they just release the scenery SDK when Rhumbaflappy's terrain tutorial just came out?Lee.

    In my scenery EBLG for FS2002 I move a little bit the rwys and had to put new ILS on the right place. I made it using airport 2.6 but like it seems they don't work.Am I alone in this case, and is it an other middle to put them back?Thks for helping Michel

    While going through the SDK I noticed the picture Microsoft used of Puget Sound and it struck me how similar it was to WorldMaker.My guess is then it shouldn't be too difficult to construct a GUI so I can fix rivers, roads and add lakes reservoirs.

    As far as i know, the airports that i have been to on fs are LAX,ORD,Meigs......when i click on those airports i get scenery objects cannot be found, an it gives me these id`s, everytime i push ok, another one pops up and they never stop.? what could be the problem? mAtt

    I've been away from flightsim for a while not checked on anything for months. Anyways I love dynamic scenery and am just wondering if there is any way of adding aircraft with moving parts as dynamic scenery. It would be great if we could see the flaps and spoilers move just after landing, not to mention the gear going up as the aircraft climbs.I've seen Oliver Pabsts catering trucks and their gradual lift, so it must be possible some how.     Just received advance information of Visual Flight's 'Photographic Scenery of England & wales'.The web site info is :-http://www.visualflight.co.uk/photoscenery/faq.htmThe images come from the getmapping project which I have successfully used on some scenery areas of the uk. But this product looks like it will save huge amounts of time in cutting together small images. By the way I am nothing to do with Visual Flight or Getmapping, perhaps I should ask for commission if sales are generated from this thread. (H'm free set of the 4 discs in September????????)

    I had suspected that CUSTOM ( photoreal ) slices could be used in a landclass.The new SDK docs list landclass #253 as CUSTOM ( no seasons ). Producing a .bin file with a hex editor, you can specify one byte as custom... There is a problem, however. It seems the smallest area you can place is 4 LOD13 quads... not one. If you have one custom byte, 4 textures will still be needed.     Dear all:I have created a building using gmax but when i convert it to bgl the object textures disappears at long distances, for example 1 Km.To solve that i created a big ground polygon flipped and the problem was fixed, but when i convert the object to a Library bgl with Fsregen and then i created a macro to call the object, i assigned 30M x 30M for Widht and Lenght in my .scm macro, but when i see the library object on FS2002 the textures dissapear at 1 Km.I think that the macro size of 30M x 30M eliminates the size of the ground polygon.Is there a way to fix it?I'm thinkint to return to FSDS because is a bug that the gmax objects lost their textures a 1Km or less.Than…

    Guys,Regarding the bleeding of terrain thru ground polygons/taxiways.I have seen this phenomenon (see pic) with some of the MS default taxiways. But, it seems even more present when I create my own with the SCASM taxiway commands.This example is with the default MS mesh (elevation points).Does anyone have any idea what might be causing it ? It seems like a Z-Buffer issue. I am curious as to any work arounds that might be available, either thru DirectX settings or SCASM commands.Thanks in advance for any explanations or advice,Allen

    I was working on a fence around my airstrip scenery when I found it looks like MakeBGL or FS2K2 has a limitation with polygons/vertex numbers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????My fences are made with many lines and my scenery was already very detailed but the sim was working with a good frame rate but after my last Gmax export and BGL compilation only some of my fences were visible. The fences are suddenly not displayed were they are existing in Gmax and the last one to appear is drawned corrupted (some polygons are not drawn at the right place) then nothing more is drawned !!!I made several try by adding more object instead of fences : they are not displayed or displayed …

    I made myself a private airstrip near my home town in a somewhat wooded area. I really wanted some fairly close proximity trees to the runways and such. After using the exclude areas (using Airport 2.6) the autogen trees receeded quite far away. I tried everything to get them to come a little closer, and right now my exclude areas share the same borders as the runways themselves, and the default trees are still about a half a mile from where I want them. I decided to go ahead and add in my own trees to fill in the treeless areas. My problem here however, is that I havent been able to find any tree macros that blend in with the defaults.
