    Could somebody please explain to me exactly what these errors mean?What I'm trying to do here is to animate a single part of a GMAX-scene (called Tick18_xxx), export it, and include it in a library.     I created a large number of macros for an airport for FS2000. I used VOD 3.0 to create the macros ( mostly buildings and taxiway signage ). Is it still acceptable to use those VOD macros in FS2002 scenery or would it be better to redesign them using GMAX ? Unless the framerate is exceptionally better using GMAX, I would prefer to not have to redesign all of the macros again.

    First of all, my post was premature. I forgot to change some parameters in Annotator. But there is a question in order. It appears that Autogen is excluded on the Approach path to my runways. Trees and buildings show up fine except for a rectangular path that extends from the runway. The second picture's red box shows the area that the Autogen is excluded. Is there a built in exclude that I don't know about? Has anyone experienced this? It is happening on the other end of my airport near the other runways. It is not just this particular place.Disregard the first picture.Thanks!

    I decided to open a new thread with this since the original was getting so long.I am totally new at this. I made s few successful landclass files by hand digitizing using Landclass Assistant. I decided to try using the NLCD files as described by Orlando.I changed the palette in the .tiff to represent proper FS Texture numbers as gray levels. Reading the indexed .tiff shows that they are correct. I then discarded the color information to create a grayscale image and saved it as a .raw.I cannot get the .bgl to come out right though.My source file is 6750 x 6772 and it covers the area of 82.5 west, 28.125 north by 80.6250 west, 26.7188 north.     If I made an object in FSDS and then apply a texture on it, with a black space on it, it will later be transparent in FS, but if I do the same thing in a gmax object with same texture the black space on the texture will NOT be transparent in FS, how can i made that in gmax?? to made the black spaces color in the texture be transparent in FS from a gmax object and so on???Hope you know what i mean here..;)))Many thanks!/Philip Nordlander

    Hi, I have been experimenting with gmax, I have made my chosen building and textures, but didnt want to do the night textures until I new everthing fitted. Now I have done so do I have to reload and remap all the textures again?Thanks David

    Would someone who can read bglc and is successful at making LIGHT_LAND material light up on a gmax scenery object please let me send them my lamppost? Been working on it for a while, and I feel at a dead end. Tried many things, no light yet.If anyone would offer a bit of troubleshooting time, I'd appreaciate it.I've followed the tutorial that calls for the poly to be editable mesh, linked to a parent, and material assigned as LIGHT_LAND, I've tried to make only a light, the example in the tut, and also tried adding a light to my lightpost, linking the light trianble to the lightpost lens.It all seems per hoyle, yet no light....Bob Bernstein

    I had a play today with resampler and the tmfviewer to create customised seasons. No success though so far.TMFViewer is really great because it lets you check your bgl immediately without loading FS2002 up.First, create a raw file (8bit, same as land class file).Values:0 - winter1 - hard winter (beware, this will be white in tmfviewer)2 - spring3 - summer4 - autumnNext, create inf file as attached.Last, run the OLD resampler. The inf file below is still wrong. However, it does show something with the old resampler. The new resampler will create an invalid file.My problem is that I can only create a season section for one month. The inf file below creates one for december.…

    After messing with this all weekend long, I am happy to say that I finally got a landclass working for my area (Southern New England), and have experimented with a few different city textures etc and have gotten decent results. I owe a ton to Orlando, his website and landclass tables, as wellas some of the other frequent posters here on the landclass subject.My first question: does the landclass source .raw file HAVE to be256x256? My source TIFF is around the size of 13500x10125. I'mprobably losing resolution by resizing down to 256x256, but bydoing it in PSP, i'm probably resampling better than the resampletool does.     I want to import the default KMKE runways and taxiways from FS2002 into Airport 2.9. I know that the BGLs are located somewhere in the default US Great Lakes Region, but how do I import them ? I have tried BGLAnalyze but perhaps I am not using it correctly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Steve

    While working in GMAX on an object, I change some details on the texture applied to the object I am working on, in my graphics program. I save the texture but how do I get GMAX to update the texture without me having to close down GMAX and restart to see the revised texture?ThanksShez
