    Hi everyone,I'm really new in scenery-design, and so I hope to find here some help for a small problem...I created an api-macro using EOD. After having created it, I added it in airport 2.60. Great static object. Everything works and looks fine. Then I heard that it is possible to get this api-macro moved. This macro is a truck and so it should be possible to let it drive over my airports. I read, that a programm called Dynkit and a programm called DOD are required. I followed all instructions. I converted the macro to a .dki-file and got a lot of errors during the conversion of the macro. But finally I got a dki-file and could use it with the Dynamic Object Designer (DOD…

    Hello,surely a beginners question...I just read the sections in the FS2K scenery sdk about dynamic sceneries, which comes with a nice sample where planes, boats and trucks move around at O'Hare airport.But it is not reusable via simple copy'n paste. Especially the mix of C structures and Assembler scenery code baffles me a bit. It looks like the C structures have to be converted into Assembler macros.I started, but run into some difficulties, especially with flags and enumerations.Questions:- Does anybody already converted these samples and provided a tutorial (for dynamic sceneries)?- What is the relation between ATC traffic and dynamic sceneries?     Here is a post for Christian showing the framerates I get with my"girder" lattace models. BTW I have only a PII 400 mhz with a Radeon64 MB card on this machine. I allways keep frame rates at the top of my list for EVRY model I make. That's why our scenery(s) take so longto do sir Jim Kanold and I have been working on our CYQT(Thunder Bay Ont) scenery since late feb! Dan.

    I am trying to do some scenery using pictures I have from the NetThe size are 8000 x 6000 pixels at 2.5 meters per pixelHow do I re-size them to get the correct 4.75m/pixelI have tried one way I have been told and it works out OK when Iput the pictures into Terrabuilder but my problem is thenthey don't seem to cover the correct area.If I ancher the textures at one point which is correct, then aftermoving from say S 43:35:36 E171:31:54 to S 43:45:00 E 172:0:0:it is to small by about S 00:00:22:2 sec in the N/S and aboutE 00:00:32:4 in the W/E so it ends up not covering to the correctareaThanks

    I have just replaced my old Geforce 256 with a newer Geforce4 MX460.I am very pleased with the results. However, I have a small problem with Ed Truthan's ocean textures which rendered perfectly before but are now invisible. I have the ocean floor texture but no wave effects. I have tried different drivers and reasonable tweaks both with FS2002 and nVidia. Still no wave effect.Any ideas?Regards,Chris Wilkes

    Hi all.The default KSLC scenery still has a construction crane near the north tower and I want to remove it (construction has been complete in that area for quite a number of years--Probably a carryover from fs2000).     Hi everybody - I've created a flat plane object for the airport I'm building using GMAX. When I export and go into FS2002, that flat plane object flickers.     Hi All,perhaps it's a rather stupid question, but I can't anyway figure out the answer, at the moment....Does anyone know which is the equivalent of the old '28C' SCASM variable in BGLC language?I'm trying to make some Gmax-built lights to switch off at day, I know I've to use the IFIN1 command (equivalent to the SCASM's 'IfVarAnd), but I don't know how the '28C' variable has to be written in BGLC.Can anyone help?Thanks in advance

    Hello alltogether,I was able to generate a mesh scenery with DHM-Data, but in between I got also some orthofotos of the same area. How can I put this two things together? Just make to different sets of BGL's and put them in the right order in the library? Or in some sort of way, which I didn't found out after studying the SDK-Documents, mix both data together in one set of BGL?Can anybody give me advice please?Christoph

    I recently downloaded a rather nice scenery of the main airport on Aruba. An interesting thing happens when I fly there. As I approach the airport, everything looks great, with wonderful textures and a great looking runway. On final approach, as I get close to the runway, it sinks beneath the terrain. I am then left with the lights sitting on top of the ground terrain with no runway, taxiway or any other ground texture visible (save for the grass and dirt).Any ideas?Thanks,Matt

    After reading quite a few posts about reflective windows and transparency, I am looking for a definitive answer. I have built a control tower with gmax and now working on the finishing touches. I can get the windows reflective with the alpha channel, but the reflection seems too white. I can get the windows transparent with the alpha channel, but cannot see the inside of the control tower.     Hi all!i've got a few questions to ask.1 If you compile group of buildings (built in gmax) into a single bgl, is it possible to alter the visibility setting individually or do i have to compile them separately? The problem is that if you are close to one of the buildings and the others are situated let's say 1km away all of them appear at the same time. In actual fact I've had a look at the g-max Md83 model found in the samples folder of Fs2002. I've noticed that each and every part was named e.g wheel01_LOD_70. I thought that perhaps this could be the solution but it didn't work because i renamed one of the buildings in that way and it simply never appeared. Does anyone …

    Has anyone got lines to work with gmax?I tried the LINES_ material, but it seems as if that's used to build wireframe buildings. I want to make antennas on a building though. I tried to handcode some lines with the new DRAW_LINES, but the lines go completely berserk. I suspect that this feature doesn't work yet...Cheers, Christian

    I'm working on a new scenery, and have run into a problem. When I have the scenery active and try to take-off the sim locks up just after leaving the ground. With the scenery inactive, in the same spot no problems. Has anyone seen this before?Thanks,Dale BakerPS. This is a bush scenery, so no default airport is involved.
