Hi all, as a part of my ATR cockpit I am currently in development of HT1000 GNSS - Global navigation satellite system - GPS to control lateral navigation of the plane. http://atrproject.wordpress.com/ I am just in stage, when my GNSS could feed AP by calculated required track. What I am looking for, is FSX compatible autopilot I can feed with that calculated track and which will convert-correct track into heading. I would like to know, if there is something like that already done. I've been looking for such a thing for a some time, but without success. - I can probably write my own PID formula based AP to provide heading control, but I prefer already working solution. :-)…

How would I go about changing the default head to panel view. Many times I get into a plane and I amsitting to close to the panel (this is for vc panel) so I us the zoom in or out to get to the right distance. Iwould like to make a permanent change to the view so it is always the same distance from the panel.I hope this an understandable question. There must be a line in the panel.cfg that will do this. Thank you for any help.

Yes I was wondering if anyone here could create the Double Decker Aircraft from "Flightplan."

I had a FSX panel with a window that had a panel ident of 15123. I also had an icon to turn on/off the panel window set to an ident of 15123. I could toggle the panel window on but could not turn it off by the toggle icon or by using the Views/Instrument Panel dropdown. I finally changed the ident in the window and my toggle to 12100. It works fine now both ways. My question is why this happened? What values of ident can be used OK? Thanks, Bob.

Hello all, I have a problem with display quality of text in an FSX gauge. I have taken code from an FS9 gauge and copied into an FSX gauge. The entire gauge, for that matter, is straight from FS9, just copied over to FSX folders. The picture below shows my problem. Text in FS9 looks good, but in FSX, it looks pretty bad. The gauge is functional, just looks bad. Hi! Yesterday I merged the weather radar Wx500 with PMDG 737, it works fine but there is a problem with the gauge on the radio stack.After the merge, a gauge controlling the weather radar was added to the radio stack. When it's getting close to the sunset the part of the radio stack where the gauge was added does not change colour together with all other parts and neither does it illuminate during the night. Does someone know how to fix the problem?I've just spent like 2 hours looking for a thread that could help me but without any satisfying results, thus I would be very grateful for your help.

I have bought the usual saitek add ons i.e. a yoke, throttle quadrant, rudder pedals, and does`nt seem to have caused my motherboard any problems. Im now thinking of starting to buy panels to add to my flight sim experience, like a multi panel and a switch panel to name a few, but im worried that these are going to put a strain on my pc, am I right to think this or are my worries un-founded.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but on a few of my FS2004 aircraft, the texture have turned black when I load the aircraft. I'm using FSX on Apple Pro, running Win 7. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Hi, I have downloaded the Overland MD11 SMS_MD11-V2. On the VC view two of the gauges are washed out looking, see images. They look fine on the 2D view but on the VC view two of them have gone grey and washed out looking and are barely legible in some situations. Anyone know what could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated. Axel

I have downloaded the (Overland, Simmer's Sky) MD-11. It works great in FSX but the VC is missing, just a view of the runway and scenery, but no panel. I know it has one and other people are using it. Does anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it? There was only one gauges file in the download called papmd11_v2.CAB and I copied that into the "Microsoft Flight simulator X\Gauges" folder. Alternatively is there a better freeware MD11 preferrably with British Airways livery? I am running FSX in Windows 7-64bit. Any help would be appreciated. Axel

Hello all,I have a question pertaining to an airfile that I want to work with in fs9. I have a bush plane that feels a bit sluggish (dead in the air). I want to add instability to it while in the air. Buffeting if you will. The Mooney Bravo comes to mind. I like how it will dance around a bit with the wind and give an impression of actually flying with movement. I know this question may be too complicated to answer with just a few parameters. Can anyone explain how gauges in fsx function. I am trying to insert a gauge into an fsx a/c but need to understand how fsx manipulates the gauge, for ex: How does the needle in a compass move, surely there is a piece of coding cleverly written for this gauge to function, where is this coding ?. I have been given a piece of coding for a pitch trim gauge but all I get is a window which is transparent enabling me to see outside the a/c through the bitmap area. I have tried to understand how a line in the panel.cfg i.e : gauge00=airbus_321!altimeter,x,x,x,x, actually works, . I`ve not been able to see where fsx goes to look for the piece of coding that actually enables …

Hey guys! I'm looking for the font used in the HUD for most of these flight simulators. Here's an example of what I'm talking about: What font is that? I have been looking all over for the name of the typeface but I can't seem to pin it down. The overall letter forms resemble a those of a dot matrix font, but they are obviously much smoother. Anyone have any idea what this font is called, or where I can find it? Thanks! Daniel
